Hello, I have just done the marathon read-a-thon and caught up, Glad re the Drs Appt Freespirit, and happy birthday for then too as knowing me I'll forget on the day.
Junior J got my fingers and legs crossed for good news with neuropod, oh no, forgot, legs crossed cos I need a w-- and now, oops note to self get ten@ ladies asap!
Have been in the garden all afternoon, and have emptied all the pots of summer bedding displays and replaced them with winter ones, (also did one for SIL and brother, DGS other grandma, and lovely oldest friend across the road. (I'll put hers on her front step under cover of darkness tonight to give her a surprise tomorrow) .
Have just had a text to say that my better than best friends memorial trophy is finished and is being played on Saturday next. I hope I don't make a muppet of myself, but will be there.
The friend I'm going to London with was supposed to come today so we could plan what we are going to do but so far not shown so I will ring and prompt her, who shall I pretend to be this time, (she is so easy to wind up and falls for calls from 'local radio' 'market research' ' the woman you met on holiday and invited up to see you and will be there in an hour or so, thank you so much'. lol xxx0 -
BTW- what are people's opinions of Furby Booms? 10yo daughter wants one as she's seen the ad! I am against it because she will be 10 3/4 at xmas and within 8.5 months of getting it, she'll be at Secondary school and I think the chances she'll be playing with it then are zilch! At £60 I think it too expensive for something she'll only be interested in for a few months max. She says she'll save up herself instead to buy it. I think chances are she'll have gone off it before she reaches her target (currently at £17.50) but in the event she succeeds I still think it a waste of money. Interesting in hearing thoughts of others though.
This made me chuckle because my DD has a collection of Furbies. The original ones-mostly picked up from boot fairs.
We have just taken a car jammed to the hilt full of her belongings and of course DD to university. I wouldn't let her take her Furbies because of space in the car and no-where to put them when she got there.
It turns out she has a large wide windowsill so I reckon the Furbies will be moving home after the Christmas holidays.
I wouldn't pay £60 for one though.0 -
Ooops after sorting out all the dvds I seem to be chilling on the sofa watching nativity'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0

stephyt23 - try a waistslip or full petticoat. I have had a maxi white dress for a Cleopatra costume I am putting together for Halloween, and a petticoat fixes all evils. showing my age now....but I have got my 21 year old daughter into them now. she loves them.0

I've never heard of it before but came across it on imdb
Directed by the same person who directed you've got mail & when Harry met Sally so thought it might be good
I can't believe I've never heard of that. But I love all Nora Ephron films so it MUST be good! I might get it myself.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
