Also went to Manchester primark yesterday. they had all the sweaters in but I bought 2 a couple of weeks ago and still have 2 from last year, so didn't get one.
did get the reindeer Nordic leggings though. 2 pairs of Christmas earrings and the long line Christmas t shirt with santa flying over the rooftops.
also, got dh and ds some gloves from the mens department. the fingers light up in different colours -£40 -
Just back from Morrisons cos I saw a post elsewhere about school uniform being reduced, it wasn't, they didn't even have any in! Cashier did tell me their clothes would be reduced for Mon if anyone is interested. I can't get though, working full-time and car off road so no going in lunch break! They didn't even have any seasonal chocs or toiletries or biscuit tins for me to gaze it and get my fix. Hmmmppph!
Thanks for the comment re Furby, you have confirmed my thoughts. Let's hope it takes her a long time to save £60.;)0 -
Right, don't all shout but I've decided I really should do more surveys etc for Christmas 2014
So my questions are can anyone either a) point me in the best direction and b) does anyone want to "introduce" me to any so they too get a bonus0 -
I know it can be quite expensive at times but its nice to look

Chuffed cause I have managed to buy a stack of clothes for the kids in Animal as they had 70% off this weekend on sale so spent less than I would if I had bought them in Tesco so they can go in the Xmas stash. Also managed to get bits in the Claires 5for£5 so very productive.
Now planning my christmas trip to Chester and to take the kids to Chester Zoo for Santa and the lanterns. Never been so very excited.0 -

Are you with valued opinions yet? This is the only one i do regularly as I found others just werent getting me anywhere! However, with VO I have already had £55 worth this year.
Nana - love the wallpaper!
Well, my father is visiting today to bring dd's bday pressies. We havent seen him since he left mum last year as he kept refusing to see us unless we also welcomed his new woman. However, he has finally decided to come and get to know his grandkids again before introducing her to us. Im not looking forward to his visit, it has been a very bitter split & he was downright nasty with text messages etc to myself & my brother at one point, but I cant stop him seeing the girls, so I will smile & be polite. Luckily dh is home so I have moral support!
On the bright side, Im looking forward to a nice cosy evening with Dh and a bottle of rose (unless he gets called into work which is a huge possibility of a Saturday)It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

Sorry just read your post. My eldest dd (12) wanted the new furby last year, I said no as I felt she was too ld and couldnt justify the price. But her nana got her one (grrrr) it was played with a little while xmas day, and since then has literally sat on her bedroom shelf, only coming down to show friends etc that are interested, even her younger sister (5) has shown no interest in it!
Total waste of money, and am hoping my mum will not give into such whims again! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
pinknfluffy28 - good luck for today. rest assured I have had similar bad family moments, and I bet many others have too. just get through it best you can and hold your head up high. this time tomorrow it will be well over. I try to focus on having a treat after a bad time. like having a giant cream cake in the fridge ready, and I think about that whilst going through the bad times. it helps especially with bad hospital appointments
best wishes xx0 -

I have noticed all the shops seem to be slowly creeping in their xmas ranges - even before their Halloween ones in some cases!
It feels a bit mad but I am getting excited.
I'm not gonna start spending any money till October but I am starting to try & think of ideas - problem is sometimes I forget I've bought stuff & ending up buying more
I'd like to be do be done before december as I'll be working all the hours god sends so that way I can enjoy my days off without stressing about Christmas shopping. (Probably won't happen tho lol)0
