Hanley hi we've missed you. You been hiding? xxx

Hiya. Sorry, working longer hours at new job now. Been reading everyday but not had much to say. Working full time hours again is taking some getting used too. It'll all be worth it when I get paid though! Pre-ordered the new Skylanders game today on amazon got a free character pack worth £49.99 so that's DS practically sorted. DD has asked for Doc McStuffins stuff so on the look out for bargains on that. Off to hobycraft tomorrow so hoping to get some bargains for BFF's craft hamper. :D

Spendless oh I hate it when that happens, blooming cars! Hope it's sorted quickly and you won't be forced into doing too much housework. Hope your appointment went well too xxx
Yes, it did thanks. :j Diagnosed diabetic earlier this year, blood sugar and cholestral already down within acceptable levels. Am amazed as it covers a time that we were without a kitchen and living on take-aways. Now to concentrate on reducing it further.:)

Can't believe I'm awake at this time! I have an ad-hoc job covering for other people's absences, haven't worked this week but still had to get up before 7am in order to sort kids off for school. Todays Sat, no work or school and I'm up at 5am. Grrrrr:mad:

Might take DD into town later and see how the shops are getting on with putting anything out. I am working full-time next week, so hopefully after that, there will be xmas stock on the shelves.
  • Ya know ive not had dairy milk for over two years, it was one of my downfalls but last week i bought and tried the winter wonderland bar and omg how ive missed proper chocolate lol its very nice!!! Ive still got half a bar left now...before the whole bar would have been gone in one session and then gone back for more lol.

BTW- what are people's opinions of Furby Booms? 10yo daughter wants one as she's seen the ad! I am against it because she will be 10 3/4 at xmas and within 8.5 months of getting it, she'll be at Secondary school and I think the chances she'll be playing with it then are zilch! At £60 I think it too expensive for something she'll only be interested in for a few months max. She says she'll save up herself instead to buy it. I think chances are she'll have gone off it before she reaches her target (currently at £17.50) but in the event she succeeds I still think it a waste of money. Interesting in hearing thoughts of others though.

I had this with my son last year, same age too, I opted not to get it. He decided to save for it, by the time he saved they were out of stock or higher price and he decided it was wasn't worth it. I don't think its about them growing up too soon I think they realise that they could get something better for their money.
Ds on way to having enough for his own laptop, which we were, with family, going to get him for Christmas to help with school work. He has asked to buy it himself with money he has saved from pocketmoney, past birthdays and washing neighbours cars and dog walking.
