When we got home from work today the deal was we could only get a chinese if we walked to collect it (this is literally a FIRST for us in about 5 or 6 years!) added up an extra 2 or 3k of steps but still managed to be 300 cals over but not so worried been good(ish) all week and figured I'd rather end 2012 being naughty then starting 2013 on the wrong foot lol

After my lunch and breakfast was already 235 cals over on myfitnesspal, I haven't dared add the dinner and booze ;)

  • Sorry for the multi posts but only just thought. I was looking for a wall calendar today but everyone seems to be selling them bogof or bogohp - I just want a plain old fashioned money-off offer! Any suggestions?

I've decided my NYR is to go for a walk during my lunchbreak instead of sitting and reading celebrity gossip - much better for my health! :rotfl:

My husband started going for walks in his lunch break instead of sitting at his desk reading. He's shifted quite a bit of weight & now has also started going swimming three times a week too. He looks so much better for it & he's less stressed. Good luck with it! :T

an idea of recycling christmas cards and a craft to keep children busy, i remember making a decoration when i was about 10 by cutting out a circle of the picture on the card, bending the circle rim so there were 5 (or maybe it was 3) upturn tabs, and then gluing the tabbed circles together to make a ball - iyswim.
i'll try to find a link or a pic.

  • Helloooo everyone!
Sorry I havent been on, have skim read a few times but real life took over the past week! (how dare it! :rotfl:) Hope everyone is well and had a fab christmas. :) It was very chaotic and jumbled up here this year, not helped by the fact we forgot a whole bag of presents and had to drive the half hour back home for them! Had a lovely time with family but I think being ill for the week or so leading up to it and still not feeling very well took the shine off. It was still so magical watching DS open his stocking, the belief is still strong here. :j And everyone loved their presents which was great. :j

Am feeling apprehensively hopeful about 2013, hopefully I can make some big changes. Fingers crossed. :)

We're staying in as usual tonight, having a big movie-a-thon, watched Ice Age Mammoth Christmas, Johnny English Reborn, Spiderman 2, The Decoy Bride and something else I cant remember. :rotfl: About to have hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows so shall say bye for now. x

Mrs Cullen-Do you have a Home Bargains? They usually have cheap 21 stuff, I got 2 keyrings for my brother (one a bottle opener) for 39p each.

Hanley25-What a very scary experience for you. :(

pinknfluffy28-How about including the bits needed for making a volcano etc and printing the instructions off the internet? I bought my DS a Richard Hammond science set for christmas and was pretty annoyed at the huge list of things needed in addition to the kit, wish Id just got the experiments from the internet as that was pretty much all that was included plus goggled, beaker and stirrer!

Nanamia-How is your DSIL? Not long now until you jet off to Australia, so excited for you. You must be brimming with excitement to see them. :)

Am realising how much Spiderman bores me lol so will just stay here for a while. :D Have bought a few things in the sales but ran out of money which is annoying as there were a few things I had my eye on in Sainsburys (Pacman money box, custard jug, lego storae boxes) and was hoping it would be ages before they were reduced more lol. Have bought:
Several lego storage boxes from Sainsburys (shape of lego bricks)
Pots of fairy dust x 2 50p each
2 x Floral kitchen hook £1.50 each Asda
Loads of Christmassy stuff from Family Bargains including my Rudolph for £14.99 :j:j:j
Sets of 5 mini lidt bears x 5 50p each
    White gold/diamond necklace £5 Tesco
    2 x silver cross necklaces £1 each
    1 x Diasy silver charm £1 Tesco
    2 x pink bracelets £1 each Tesco
    Think thats it. :)

    Hi mummysavingmumofone :hello: x

I'm stuffed! We've eaten loads of M&S nibbles and drinking some Proseco. Lovely but I'm full. Not sure if we'll make the bells, but I'll give it a go x

  • Hi Nic. :hello: I have no chance of going to bed before Midnight, my DS is wide awake as usual! We have party poppers and sparklers for midnight, we dont have a garden so have to just stand out the back of the flats with them so probably look a bit mad but thats ok. :D Not as mad as me trailing fake snow from the outside ledge/window/communal hallway floor into my DS' bedroom and our bedroom then stamping footprints in it using OHs work boot at 3.30am Christmas morning. :rotfl:
