Hi All,
I'm a long time lurker, occasional poster, and one of my New Years resolutions is to take a more active part in this lovely thread.
I was sorry to read that after all the build up and general Christmas excitement, some didn't enjoy their Christmas as much as they deserved. Well here's hoping that next years is a superb Christmas for everyone.
I personally live with a grinch :rotfl:however, this year especially, OH really tried to enjoy it and really made an effort with presents etc. We don't buy presents for each other as such, but for the past few years we have done each other a £20 stocking - you'd be amazed at what you can get for that!! This year I have to say was the best so far by a long way and was so much fun to do and undo:rotfl:.
Have started to look at bits for next year, but I'm a knitter, so a lot of my presents are knitted, quite often requests from the family for things they would particularly like.
Weil, feel like I'm going on a bit so will stop now.
So Happy New Year to all you lovely people and all the best for 20130 -
Hiya everyone!!
Well went into the sales today and didn't really see much however I did get a knight castle in Argos for my little brother either bday or Xmas it was £39.99 reduced to £16.99 and also got one of the little memory frame (make your own) £9.99 to £3.99 for bf's cus although I may keep it and make it for my sister haha!! I also bought myself some clothes that were not part of the sale but I only every buy clothes once a year so that's it now!!
My NYR are
- stop smoking (doing with bf and his mum)
- try and loose a little weight
- save as much as possible
- get a car and pass my test
And me and bf's mum want to get rid of at least one bag of rubbish bits from the house every week either bin tip or eBay depending in the stuff
I don't really see much point in NYE but me and bf are staying in to watch the batman boxset I got him for Xmas we have lots of goodies and I have a bottle of wine
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!! Hope 2013 is a happy healthy year for you all0 -
I'm currently watching the tail end of Kirsty's Vintage Homen before switching over to CDWM Top 30, mostly to shout at the telly at the money she is wasting! Omg dipping raffia storage baskets into white emulsion, what the ...? Feel free to tell me I'm being overly critical as I'm not a crafty person at the best of times, I'm sure you could get this cheaper from a pound shop? Looking after dgs tonight, dd and dgs are enjoying themselves playing together.
We popped into our local Tesco this afternoon, great if you wanted chocolate or biscuits, though I guess we were too late for the good stuff. Next VIP sale stuff is arriving in bits and pieces, it's nice having a little parcel every day or two. Ordered a few bits from dotcomgiftshop and M&S thanks for posting.
Hanley do keep us updated on the little dog's progress, hoping s/he recovers.

When we got home from work today the deal was we could only get a chinese if we walked to collect it (this is literally a FIRST for us in about 5 or 6 years!) added up an extra 2 or 3k of steps but still managed to be 300 cals over but not so worried been good(ish) all week and figured I'd rather end 2012 being naughty then starting 2013 on the wrong foot lolLife is what you make it.0 -
