ok so.. *yawn* the kids are hyper, the weather is miserable.. and I need to get my bottom into gear. Bad mix. Sorted out important dates onto my calendar. Got some stuff to mail today. Getting this house back under my control today if it's the last thing I do! :rotfl:
Good Luck! :j :j :j0 -
Aaw Hanley what an awful experience
for all concerned. Hope everybody -including little dog- recovers quickly.
Carlamarie hope you've bought them, you'd only regret it later. X
Archiebear our trip really has come round quick, still don't really believe we are going. Just seems so unreal. Have to make lists and pack maybe then it will sink inSpoke to DDiL this morning asked if there was anything she'd like us to bring, finally dragged out of her clothes for DGD so we had a trip to tk max -I've only been in a couple of times to look at the kitchen section. The clothes always seem to be set out like a jumble sale and require patience and rooting skills! Anyway cos I'm buying out of season there were lots of bargains 6 x dresses, pretty, well made 'designer' outfits 1 xskirt and t shirt outfit and a vest top for £47 couldn't believe it. Three of the dresses were full price at £7/9 but still cheaper than Asda or tesco clothing and seem to be much better made. Was really pleased with myself and DH helped choose them (he is secretly so excited- but not admitting it)
Whilst talking to DS today he was complaining about the heat 9.30pm 38degrees- least I will have something to moan about! (I don't like the heat at all but DH loves it - the things we ladies do!)
I really feel for you with your family moving out- it will be a big change for you all. You will miss DGD too:( I can't tell you it'll be easy or get easier cos I'm not over it yet. But hopefully I will be of some help when the time comes. My lot emigrated 20 th August 2012 and I still struggle! But probably only cry twice a week now rather than everyday, so there is hope!
Weeclick love your tree, I did a couple too for Christmas and one for DGDs birthday Christmas week. I will root out the photos. X
I'm not making any resolutions just want to treasure my loved ones xxx
Well done with your shopping :T :T
I'm getting really excited for your trip too, hope you have a fabulous time :beer:0 -

Hey everyone,
Thanks for mentioning bills otherwise I would have completely forgotten to pay my council tax today.
Up and about today taking down tree and decorations, putting presents away. Spent all of yesterday in bed feeling tired and nauseousas much as I hate being sick I would much rather do that than lay there feeling sick. Was worrying it was the dreaded norovirus but seem ok today :j just wish I could shake the tiredness.
Was about to throw the cards into the recycling then realised we got sent some lovely ones with lovely pics, so have chopped them up for some special looking tags.13 projects in 2013 0/130 -

i have decided im going to also do her daughter who will be 9 almost 10 at christmas a (as-near) matching one as possible. i dont mean the exact same pjs etc, but more a pair of slippers for each etc.
still deciding over the boots order!!!! everything is still in stock as though its telling me to buy them! but the storage and £85 for something thats a year away!
probaly a stupid thingto do, but i think im going to wait until saturday because im out with friends on friday, see what money i have left and if there still available buy then!
i will either be laughing all the way to the bank, or kicking myself for being stupid!

Hi everyone - and almost happy new year. Will probably not have time to catch up with past posts now.
Just a quick pop in to those making chocolate hampers and OMO.
My sister has a very sweet tooth but neither her nor I could eat the betty croker choc chip cookies (we have only tried the white choc mix ones so far). Far too sweet for us.. Might be ok for other people though but just to warn you????
I came across this blog a while back and this girl makes you wanna do nothing but bake and eat. I have just made her shortbread cookies and they are v v good. see her post http://www.poiresauchocolat.net/2012/10/whole-vanilla-bean-biscuits.html. Maybe a homemade cookie mix version of this with chocolate chips in it? OMO you could also add a homemade cookie mix into the movie hamper. This dough freezes for a few weeks so maybe you could have it prepared and you kids could just pop it into the oven when they sit down to their movies?
Just a few ideas.....
anyway back to those lemon and cardamom cookies now:D0 -
