if i do it cwould cross birthday and christmas off the list for my little brother, oldest nephew and niece and christmas for youngest niece and my dads girlfriend.

however the hubby is hoping to move at some point in the next couple of months so im not sure whether to get them and have more to lug about, or to hold on and get something nearer the time.

the full price is £240 but i can get them now for £85 what to do? what to do? what to do?

    Get them !!!!!!!!!!

I didn't bother once, when we were moving. I totally regretted it later in the year.

Happy Birthday Daisiegg. Hope you've had a lovely day.
Well I just had a rather interesting walk home from my Mum's. She lives about 2 minutes away from me, as I was passing some large double gates I heard a bit of a commotion. I asked the ladies standing by the gate if they needed any help as they looked like they were struggling with something. Turns out that one of the ladies had a little Jack Russel with her, he had run up to the gates and somehow got his paw stuck in it. There were 2 rather agressive big dogs the other side and they had attacked the paw. There was blood everywhere and they couldn't free the poor thing. I rang the fire brigade to see if they could help, while I was speaking to them another lady came out of a nearby house to help. One of the big dogs somehow got his head through the gate and bit this lady. Cue more blood everywhere and a call to an ambulance!
After about half an hour the owner of the big dogs came back and freed the dog using an angle grinder. By then there wasn't much left of his paw, the owners rushed off to the emergency vets while I called the fire brigade to tell them they were no longer needed. The police have since called and taken a statement from me. I felt so sorry for the poor little dog, I have 2 Lancashire Heelers and it could easily have happened to one of them. I always make sure I keep them on a short lead passing those gates because of how nasty those 2 dogs are. I'm still a bit in shock from it all, sorry to bring the thread down. :(

Oh no thats horrible! Hope everyone will be ok. I'd be so upset if it happened to my dog xxx
  • carlamarie - how about fluffy socks, and a hot water bottle, or one of those pads you put in the microwave. Or even a teddy with a microwaveable pouch that fits in his tummy? ( My DH bought one of these for me a couple of years ago, the teddy had a Santa hat, he is so cute, and very cuddly)

  • Ok ladies... up all hours again - men don't listen. Littlest woke at 9.30 I told him to just press play on her cd player - he holds a full scale convo with her... :/ she is just beginning to nod now.
I want to make a quilt from all my daughters' baby clothes. Youngest has one sent from her grandma - was great grandmas its lovely. Eldest is ever so jealous I'd like to make one for her. Now I have a 1910 Singer upstairs in the loft thats been converted to electric. How do I go about it?
My second question is how is best to start out with crochet? I'd love to make some spring blankets and the like. Ideas please?
  • My new years resolution is to not put any more on my CC so we can get the balance down but still have a life while we do it, tricky but doable (is that even a word)..............
