Anyone got any new years resolutions? I don't normally bother as it puts pressure on and I fail.
So these are things I'd like to do, but won't beat myself up if it doesn't happen-
Learn to use my sewing machine better, maybe go on a proper
dressmaking course.
Develop my business more and look into a website.
Make DD a jelly roll quilt and maybe one for neice ( for Xmas) if I
manage.
Lose some weight. Preferably a stone to start.
Do more excercise. I love Zumba, so will hopefully go back to my old class once I move.
Budget and meal plan, cook from scratch at least 3 times a week.
Im sure theres a lot more, but I think thats enough to be getting on with :rotfl::santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Mine are to do the grocery challenge and just try and save as much money as I can.
I could do with losing a few stone but doubt that will happen
And to do all those annoying little jobs that mount up around the house.GC September £69.64/£2000 -

Claire's_C thank you re dot com gifts I have ordered a few pressies as well as two sets of advent bags (my DH will think I'm mad when he sees one for our DD as she's only 8 months old now :rotfl:)
Daisiegg Happy birthday!!!! _party_
MrsBunny we have a slow cooker and I love it. They're brilliant for popping food in before work and coming home to supper ready made! The best thing I've found is the Hamlyn 200 slow cooker recipes book I bought second hand from Amazon.
I don't normally make Resolutions as I'm not very good at keeping them but this year I'm determined to:
1 Lose the weight I'm still carrying from having DD in April as its really getting me down (dodgy knees allowing )
2 Save some money so that we have savings in case of any problems especially now we have baby
3 try to pass the course I have starting in a few weeks at work
I am going to try and keep up with this thread if you'll have me, think its going to be a lovely place to be :j:heart2:DD born 11/04/12 :heart2:

Do we have any crocheters in the thread? I have a hook and tried to learn earlier in the year (much prefer knitting) but would really like to make some of these next year;

Can anyone suggest the best way to start?
I've taught myself to crochet, it's not too bad once you get going, and a lot more forgiving than knitting! If you can knit though, those hand bands would look good in cable.
I was also going to have a go at those cup cosies
Also made one of these today, though now I look at it, mine hasn't got any ears...hmmm need to sort that. The idea is I stick it to the top of a jar filled with 'brown' sweets to give it a body. Been a nightmare finding brown gloves so my reindeers are more beige!
15 crafts for 2015 challenge.
Christmas 2015 - started to save/wrap!0 -
I think the only resolution I have is to try and get a big step closer to that 17k deposit we need[/COLOR]2024 Challenges
