thanks all, its ok thanks, am taking painkillers, couldnt get the gauze off it so had to soak it in salt water, yeouch cubed!
its sore but it would be I guess, serves me right for being such a muppet! xx
Freespirit good luck to your DS for the interview - I really hope he can sort the workmen out for you, I understand totally how you feel, am exactly the same, stresses me out horribly *lots of hugs* xx Br!tish G@s got a complaint from me in the end for constantly phoning me to arrange my annual boiler services when I was training in July for the new job, they let me keep my phone on as my mum was in hospital and kept getting calls fm BG! then a letter then an email - all this within 3 days of them telling me the service is due! I got quite cross with them for harassing me so much, I know the boiler check is due but I didnt/dont have time at the moment, had loads going on and more important I couldnt cope with the stress of them taking sharp intakes of breath, telling me I need a new boiler (as if I dont know) and trying to persuade me to have quotes etc, I hate it when people come round to do even simple stuff like that as I know it will end up being some problem they find with a big price tag to match, am putting it off untila day hubby can be here to deal with it and I will go out! Worse thing is they casually tell you 'oh you need to change this, have a new that' as though we have a money tree in the freaking back garden! they only shut up when I get a bit snippy and tell them I am not in a position to at the moment
On a totally different subject - whoever told me the Yankee Candle Christmas Pudding is fantastic - you were not wrong, came today and its scrummy!! so thanks for the tip0 -
Fiesty, stolen time off is by FAR the best!!!

Feisty - the magazine is handmade, christmas edition hopefully the following link should work http://secure3.subscribeonline.co.uk/origin/products.sol?mag=HMCK&cmp=HANDMADEXMAS2013&promobox=false
The shop looks amazing- did you say you get the stock with it too, if so wow, I would be looking at everything thinking, living room, kitchen, bedroom and wanting to take it home.
If you could move to norfolk I would run it for you for free :-),
I may have to find a cheap break that way someday so I can visit0 -
Freespirit - sorry to hear about your flood and the problems clearing the drain. Hope you manage to keep the stress under control - hopefully the bulk of the work will be outside.
Gettingtherequickly - great news about the trip to Egypt being on again, bet the little ones will be so excited to see you.
Feisty - congratulations on getting the offer on the shop accepted, wish I had the same courage as you (and the same talent to be fair lol).
Nanamia - still chuckling to myself about you fitting into medium knickers and that was pages ago!
Marco1dog - thanks for the heads-up. I'm feeling a Christmas jumper this year so hope they have some in my local shop.
Well, a good day planned tomorrow - going to Primark, B&M and possibly Dunelm and Home Bargains too with DD1. I don't usually do Primark (too heaving with bodies) but DD1 is 6 months pregnant, has outgrown her pyjamas and the change in the weather has brought the desire for warm nightwear. Looking out for all things Christmas and hoping to tick a few pressies off my list. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

ALJA I got rear ended at the start of the year too, stationary traffic but felt like such a hard whack, bits were falling off her car but was very lucky mine was all ok, but whenever Im in slow or stationary traffic now Im always wondering about the person behind and hope they are 'with it'! I think it is normal to feel apprehensive, perhaps having somebody with you to reassure may help do you think? I went on the motorway not too many months after my test when we thought it would be quiet and I got boxed into the middle lane by lorries and a slow coach driver, car behind all over the back of me (couldnt speed up to pass cos the coach had pulled out and was sitting there and the outside lane was full of hoggers, Im not usually a nervous driver but at higher speeds than I was used to, plus trying to watch all those around me and hubby saying 'try and get into the outside lane to pass them' when it was chock full made me a bit pan icky and I felt light headed, ended up pulling in behind them and onto the hard shoulder and he took over, havent been able to drive on motorway since because Ive left it too long (tried the next weekend but couldnt manage as was too soon!) so I do understand how you feel - I can now go on 3 lane duel carriageway with slip road near us which is almost a motorway, but taken me a long time, really hope you are ok, am here if you ever need a chat xxxx
I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you! Thank you for letting me know I'm not alone! I was at a junction and the person behind thought I'd pulled out when I hadn't, so he rear ended me too. His car was fine, but mine was almost written off and was in the garage for 2 months being fixed up(was so shocked at how long it took!) I will just have to keep getting out there, I have done a few times but I could do with doing it a bit more! It's silly really haha, but thank you ever so much x

You do get over it. I was hit at speed from behind. The police said if the kids had been in the back they wouldn't be here today. The back seat just wasn't there anymore. I was very nervous for months, but it got better, and now I never think about it when driving.
I also ran someone over once. A young girl come straight off the pavement on her bike, and straight under my car. I can tell you, that was frightening ! Knowing you have got to get out and see what you have done. Fortunately she was ok. God knows how. Just minor cuts and bruises.
I could have only sat in the car for a couple if seconds, but it felt like forever. All I could see was the man in car coming the other way sitting there staring at me. He said he felt like he sat there for ever as well.0 -

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that happened, I can imagine that definitely was frightening! Glad you're all okay x
I guess it's just one of those things isn't it. I'm now really determined to not let it stop me finding those lovely Christmassy bargains out there!thank you for the reassurance x

Thank you debndot, I am off to browse! Yes I do get all the stock
Going to have to try really hard not to bring it all home - I may have already mentioned it (so excited I can't keep track of who I have bored shop talk with) but it has a real working wood fire that is used for heating in the winter - coupled with cosy armchairs I think I may be escaping there for some quiet time after hours
OMO I remember you mentioning your car accidents before, so very scary
Freespirit it sounds like you had a lovely eveningI take over beginning of November - they wanted me to take it ASAP but I still need to raise the other 2k
