Just caught up with everything on here
04624181 Thanks for your welcome. That’s one thing that will keep my spirits up – I love Christmas time in schools. Looking forward to being able to decorate my own classroom one day (Any excuses for more places to put up decorations). I hope you get your back sorted and the pain eases soon. I tore a disc in my lower back 9 years ago and it’s permanently damaged so I have every sympathy with you. Mine went on me again yesterday after my first day volunteering at a school (not a good start) so I’ve had to miss going in today. Feels loads better but didn’t want to risk it getting bad again.
Linz4383 Thanks again for spotting the DVD slightly cheaper on Tesco. Have now ordered it so that’s something else ticked off.
Nanamia Thank you, I’m feeling much better after my bump. Thankfully the car is all ok too. Well done with your weight loss, I wish I could be more disciplined.
PoppyGirl I think I’ll start keeping an eye out in B&M for gift sets too. I don’t know why but I never think to look in there. My Auntie got me a lovely metallic nail polish set from there for my birthday last month and the colours are really nice and lasted over a week without chipping.
Freespirit66 Sorry to hear about your flood. I hope you get everything sorted and the Harry Potter book isn’t too damaged.
FeistyFidget Congratulations on your offer being accepted. As a newbie I’m guessing you starting on a new venture?
PrincessKitty Thanks for letting me know about the flannel, I shall see if my local store have any
Snugglebunny8 Hope your finger is ok, sounds very painful! That’s lovely to hear a customer did that for you, and nice to know there are some people who still care about giving good CS.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Was in an old fashioned type of sweet shop this morning and bought 3 lucky bags, two for boys and one for a girl. £1.25 each, a touch of nostalgia. Now I just have to resist giving them to the grandchildren next time I see them. I am terribly impatient and have to work really hard to hold presents back.0

Urgh apologies for that, I can't for the life of me get photos to work!! I follow guidelines, and it either comes up with a cross, or link to my photo bucket account. This method works fine for posting on another forum, grr!0

Fiesty Are the pictures you've put on FB of your new shop??
Noodles Can I ask which one of the 99p shop had the dog advent calanders? Was it an independent one or chain one? I don't think we have any 99p shops here, only the chain Poundlands etc.
Most of all a massive public THANK YOU to the lovely princesskitty29 who has very kindly sent me some candle votive holders I was looking for to use for my wedding. I'm so greatful again!!! xx
This one isn't the shop I'm buyingI've just rented a small unit at a big warehouse that lets sellers set up mini shops - this was my original plan until the opportunity came up to buy the business. If you fancy a peek at the shop I am buying, then they have an out of date facebook page;

First job will be to re-haul the facebook page and make a twitter, gumtree and ebay account as they currently have no online presence!
debndot What is the name of the magazine? I love Christmas crafts and maybe an actual magazine will inspire me to do some - I have a habit of just adding them to pinterest boards and that is as far as I get :rotfl:
Snugglebunny8 You poor thing! I bet you were terrified when it wouldn't stop bleedingYay for being recognized for your amazing customer service skills though
Your motorway ordeal sounds terrible
Gettingtherequickly Yay for rebooking your Egypt trip :T really hope you find an outfit
freespirit66 So sorry your drain is still blockedI am torn between hoping that DS doesn't have to start straight away (to help you with workmen) and hoping I does (as it will be a much needed confidence boost!) Either way I really hope you get it sorted with the minimum of stress x
stephyt23 Christmas with your students will be amazing! Think of the Christmas crafts you can do with them and the nativity and sharing in their excitement, oooo and the school Christmas disco/party too! What age range do you teach? I'm buying a shop to expand my current business
PoppyGirl Penny is beautiful
Well as for me, I made the poor dentist work through his lunch break as they wanted me to take lunch (would have to drive home to eat as no warning) and then come back for an hour and a half, then go home for the day! So I got home two hours early than expectedThis is why I have actually managed to reply properly to everyone for once

That's the very best sort of time off Fiesty
Freespirit - be careful using drain unblockers. Our bath blocked a little while ago and I got some nasty chemical un-blocker stuff but it splashed on my arm as I was pouring it down and I have a delightful chemical burn scar there now oops. Had to run downstairs and get vinegar on it (the bottle said it was alkaline) so the smell wasn't helping the pain!
Racking my brains a lot atm to think of something for my BIL. I'm sure I'll come up with something, I just like to have the ideas sorted and get onto the buyingHave to wait for more wintery things to appear in shops for a few pressies, they're slowly trickling in but I haven't seen what I'm looking for yet.
