hello...please can I come back? life has changed quite a bit since i was last here. after 6 months of being off work with depression OH has handed his notice in and left for good. he is planning to do a year or two on supply teaching and then if accepted will train to be a vicar. that will be a complete way of life. so...we will have a decrese in salary when he is on supply and even less when he starts training.

luckily I have most of my Christmas presents sorted but still need a few stocking fillers. I will need help to be more organised though:D

we had a nice holiday in Dorset/the new forest. unfortunately feisty we wern't there when you were doing the craft fairs or I would have come along. we had a few days in the caravan in Wareham. we stayed on a really quiet peaceful site but about 5 minutes walk from the town.

I am now ready for a good, organised Christmas...

good to see you! :T am so sorry to hear your OH was suffering so badly, I really hope the change in career path will help him and you, its lovely to see you! x

I am starting to think about Christmas now. I was in Dunelm mill and I got two Christmas hand towels to put away. They were white with funny reindeer on them. They had Father Christmas and snowflake ones as well.
You can never have too many Christmas hand towels.

Thank you everyone for the welcome. I'm feeling even more grumpy this evening and just can't seem to shake it! DS's birthday next week so think I will focus on that and then look for cards and wrap search so that's all in hand....

Evening everyone, this thread is getting faster and faster :rotfl:

I think maybe everyone was just down about summer hols ending etc, but it does amaze me how many people sit & moan away whilst i pamper them! Hope you enjoyed your hot chocolate. HB had satchets of bornville hot choc (my all time fav) for just 10p each, hubby cleared the shelves for me, a grand spend of £2.90 and enough satchets to hopefully see me through the start of autumn/winter!

My Nan had some made for ds when he started school. I throw them all out when I had the big de-clutter this year. I don't think we need them now he's 20. :rotfl:

Oh chin up. Don't put pressure on yourself. It's only the 2nd of September. I mostly don't feel Christmassy. Just every so often I get a tingle.
