I need to buy cards as I didn't get any in the sale last year. I'm tempted by gift bags but like wrapping when I don't have tonnes to do! I thought about taking paper in to work and staying for an extra 5 mins to wrap pressies that arrive at the office. I could then the cards as soon as th e shops get them and join you on a Saturday night...
Card Factory have had Xmas cards in for a few weeks already! Can easily be done in time if you start now!0 -

We had the sugar almond favors about 20 yrs ago i guess it was the in thing then .At my nieces wedding she had little packets of love heart sweets with their names wedding date on and a few plastic "jewels" . the little girls loved collecting everyone's but the little boys used them as missiles . LOL

Woke up in the night with the most amazing thought.
Since I now have a 10 foot sideboard, I will need to buy lots more trees for my Christmas tree forest.:rotfl:
I am also ( for the first time in 5 years ) going to get my hanging globes out of the loft. I bought them in America, and they used to hang off lantern hooks on the fire place at my old home. They are glass and too heavy for any tree I have seen.
I haven't really had the room for them here before now.

OMO how weird you mentioned that i dreamt about your lovely white sideboard and how gorgeous it will look with your xmas forest, the globes sound lovely would love to see pics at xmas timeThanks for the all the links and thanks for the kindle book tips. Also i giggled at PINKNFLUFFYS post i knew straight away who it was :rotfl:

Big hugs to allWell think that is me caught up. It's been a hectic week in the Nanamia household. But I've made it and am still here to tell the tale so it really can't have been that bad can it!

Long time lurker here and I'm in need of cheering up and some practical advice. . Help!!Thank you for the welcome :beer:I'm almost done shopping for my son. I've been buying through the year so got some good deals. He has the wooden IKEA kitchen, a motorized ride on, leapfrog leaptop, ELC wooden garage, happyland train set, lots of books and more. I still need to get stuff for his kitchen (going to IKEA this Saturday), Thomas the tank engine things (he's obsessed) and I'd like to do a craft hamper for him. It's a lot but he's been through so much in the last 2 years. He's due to have 1, possibly 2 operations and he's disabled so I really want to spoil him.
Aaah bless him so young to be going through so much, i am not surprised you want to spoil him, he deserves itI'm on a positive footing at the moment, saw my doctor on Friday and he has upped my meds plus given me extra pain killers and referred me back to the hospital, I must of caught him in a good mood. So now I'm having a few lazy days.
I still have all the Christmas presents in boxes from my non move so plan this week to take a peak and see how much is there. Not going to be adding too much as DS is getting a new games console which will be taking up most of the budget. I think this being the first christmas without my father it will be more focused on just chilling and being in each others company as its only myself, DS and my mother is staying for three days. I ordered a nice tree decoration for my father and had it inscribed. Not sure what else I can do to make it extra special for DS and mother.
Ideas?#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

I think maybe everyone was just down about summer hols ending etc, but it does amaze me how many people sit & moan away whilst i pamper them! Hope you enjoyed your hot chocolate. HB had satchets of bornville hot choc (my all time fav) for just 10p each, hubby cleared the shelves for me, a grand spend of £2.90 and enough satchets to hopefully see me through the start of autumn/winter!
3:30 am and wide awake - good job I dont work Mondays! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
