Trendy :( aaarrrgghh :( I did have a bad feeling about today's meeting. And yes it is a case of covering backsides! I was in a very similar situation (a long time ago) and thankfully things have changed since then. Use your union that's why you are a member, are you in touch with a mental health nurse/worker? They are a great help and your dr will back you up. I really feel for you and what you are facing on top of your own anxieties. Will PM :) xxx
Bunbun your holiday sounds fab, the perfect way to recharge your batteries and remember what is important in life :) xxx
Pinknfluffy what a perfect way to spend a rainy day :) or any day really :) like Bunbun it's the simple things that mean so much xxx
Feisty oh my word lady, you are so hard on yourself. Caitlyn and Freespirit have hit the nail on the head as usual with very sound advice :) xxx
Freespirit had a manicure and French polish today, trying a new treatment at the mo cos my nails are in such poor condition. Will let you know how it goes! I can't remember if you are near a B&M but they usually have a lot of Sally Hansen nailcare range for a fraction of the usual price. Superdrug also usually have offers on the Barry M range-I'm a fan of that:)
I'm so sorry to hear of the young lad. Bless him, fingers crossed he follows the path of Caitlyns friend. It's been a week of that sort of sad news here too. Within the space of about ten days, in two totally unrelated incidents two boys (mid twenties) have taken their own lives :( They both were at school with my two and it breaks my heart to think of the pain/torture they must've been feeling and especially thinking of the families they've left behind:( A serious case of counting my blessing and stop feeling sorry for myself my boy maybe 10,000 miles away but I've still got him :) xxx
Caitlyn where on earth have you been? 10 hours on the train? Another really thoughtful post, you are such a special person xxx

Morning all, I'm back with a vengeance now lol! Thank you all so much for the kind comments re my website & business, it means a lot to me. I'm not there yet, but I'm positive it will happen - and when it does its mince pies & sherry on me!
I must try & remember how to multi-quote cos there is so much I want to reply too, but for now - to all of you feeling down or disheartened - big hugs xx
Freespirit & nana - before my new venture my nails were horrid little bitten stubs - now 4 months later I have healthy, strong nails, a good "workable" length! I get to use the excuse of practicing and I re-do mine in Gel polish every week! I'm sure you have already been told the benefits of a good gel polish - I would recommend, and lots of cuticle oil - twice a day, benefits your nails as well. And remember - nails are jewels not tools!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

Feisty your papercuts are gorgeous I have one hung on my living room wall, I have a new name as fell out of love with money saving for a while it was the family one with pumpkin, Liverpool badge and cocker spaniel makes me smile a dozen times a day, can you be blamed for postmen who trained with ryanair baggage handlers lol, I'm gutted my cousin in law asked for money for a wedding present as I know a papercut would make her smile as well, wonder if its too evil to buy a present instead ?

Trendy Jenny, did you get a copy of the employers letter to OH dept? if not, ask for one. Also a copy of any reply to employer from OH. Get employer to ask for your consent to contact your GP/consultant. If they haven't done so already, as you need an opinion based on sound MEDICAL FACT not conjecture and opinion from employer or incomplete information from OH. You do not have to accept the opinion of the OH dept. if it is not based on the best evidence available to them. You also have the right to see any report from GP/consultant before it is sent, and to challenge anything you disagree with giving your reasons. Your union should know these things but some are more clued up than others. If I can be any more help let me know. I worked 30+ years as an OH adviser (left when the powers wanted me to be a tool for them) .
Nanamia I know what you mean, I am not as high as normal, I think its because weatherwise we are still in winter.
To everyone having a rotten time, hugs and love, hang in there.
I'm off on a trip today, (pensioners perk) to a garden centre about 40 miles away. I love garden centres, so I am leaving my credit card and cheque book at home, so I can only spend what is in my purse.xxx

CariadsDream Thank you so much for that :) You have lifted my spirits no end :) I often think of your papercut - have been umming and aaaahing over whether to do footballers badges etc, but sadly licenses are way out of my budget lol I'm biased, but always make a handmade gift as feel it will way out last the money. We asked for the company of our guests as presents, but for those that truly wouldn't accept no for an answer we asked for money to pay off the wedding lol. It sounds terrible, but the only present recipients I can remember are those that got us actual gifts over money. They are very much treasured :)

mrsinvisible very sound advice there - good thinking on leaving the cards and cheque book at home ;)

Jenny, I'm sure mrsinvisble has answered everything you needed, but I have always found ACAS very helpful for employer/empolyee disputes :)
