Evening all.
...Perhaps silliest of all was when I got in at 4am, made myself a drink...I was sat with my legs up on the sofa, glass in hand and the last thing I remember was reaching for my contact lens case with my other hand and then I woke up to the feeling of juice spilling ALL over me. I assumed I'd just that second nodded off but when I checked the time it was 5.30am! I'd somehow been flat out sleeping for an hour and a half with the juice clutched precariously in my hand. One of those moments where I was VERY glad no-one was there to see me!...
Oh dear :rotfl:. I recently did something similar, managed to fall asleep on the sofa while holding a half-full glass of red wine, then woke myself up when I spilt wine down myself! Unfortunately I was seen, by my boyfriend who thought it the height of comedy0 -
Hey all
I know this is very Xmas related, but just to fill you in.. I am still in hospital and had a 2nd op early hours of this morning.
Don't want to put too much on here and repulse anymone, but has 1st op - the appendix removal, almost 2 weeks ago. Recovery didn't go well and it has resulted in a 2nd bigger operation : (
Remember when they say there is a 1 in however many chance of a complication. Well unfortunately I am that person.
Still loving the thread, and I hope to contribute properly again soon. XxxAims for 2014

Hi all,
After spending a week reading all your posts I would like to come out of the dark and join.
I have saved loads of links from the early posts and have decided to learn to crochet to make a lovely heart chain for a friend. Another girl at work is going to be my tutor. If I can master it I will look forward to making more for gifts.:D:D:D
I have loads of "bits" bought in the sales for Christmas and all my cards and paper in- enough for about 5 years worth of pressies.
I am saving in various places. Adsa, Morrisons and Wilko's to spread the cost of the Christmas food/ alcohol etc.
I am also on a declutter mission!!!! I had loft insulation laid before Christmas- free for swapping energy providers- so 23 years of stuff sorted and about 75% given away, recycled or tipped.:eek::eek:
I have cleared literally hundreds of books over the last 2 weeks to the girls at work.:o
This change in me is all due to my kids being old enough to not need me.......they still live with me but I feel like I have developed premature "empty nest" syndrome!
I will report back after my tutorial.
XXStart by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say

Hello everyone!
I posted a few times many moons ago but haven't been around much lately, have been reading a few posts though.
Counted up some pennies and banked them ready for Christmas shopping - LOVE Christmas!!!! I'm also saving on different reward cards for our festive food shop and some other gifts.
Loving all your crafty makes too - they are all lovely. I make amigurumi and have just written my first pattern. Thought I might try selling a few on Facebook to start to see how it goes - very nervous though. Just trying to make few pennies for Christmas really plus I love doing them and I think friends/family have had enough of them for presents now!!
Hope all of you that are poorly get well soon. I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks so am working daily to combat them, the crochet helps distract me for a while!
Look forward to joining in more with all the chatter if thats okay.
