    Hi everyone,
NANAMIA i am so sorry about your dog that is so sad, when we had our first dog, she was 12 and started all of a sudden messing and weeing, every time i went out i would come home to it, on the sofa, on our bed, it made me so mad, after a couple of months of this i came home and the whole of our kitchen diner was just a sea of wee, i couldnt take it any more and phoned the vet, she said although she was walking fine her nerves had gone in her back legs, so she didnt realise she was doing it and said it would be kinder to have her put down as it would only get worse, i felt so awful that i had been mad and she didnt know she was doing it, but at the end of the day we are only human and noone enjoys cleaning up after they messed, so dont beat yourself up my lovely
FEISTY OMG my daughter would love that, i have put it into my favourites, thankyou

  • oh NanaMia and MrNanaMia, so so sorry to hear your sad news. As all the other lovelies have already said, you shouldn't blame yourself at all...you weren't to know. Its an old cliche but time will definately soothe your current pain.... i still have teary moments every now and then after having our cat put to sleep in January.... sending you warmest wishes and vitual hugs xxx
  • Nanamia - I'm so sorry to hear your news, we've lost our doggie 5 years ago when she was only 5 ( so very young) and I still get teary when I think about her. She got ill on a Thursday night, took her to the vets Saturday morning (first we thought she had a 24hr tummy bug) an by Saturday night she was no longer with us. It was the hardest decision we had to make
Please don't blame yourself, it's not your fault. Like others have said, he's now happy, pain free and running around with all of our heaven doggies.

So the trip to the doctors was fairly odd, they are testing me for something called sjorgens syndrome and are checking my vit D levels again, she gave me a 6 month supply of the indigestion pills that mean I can actually eat, she also gave me some tablets that dissolve on your tongue for when I have migraines to try, and most bizarre of all, is canesten cream for my odd bites.
Have I mentioned those, so I'm really allergic to gnat bites they take forever to settle down, well anyway I've been getting these bites that itch like gnats but go down after a day but then can come back all itchy in the same place and sometimes they then becoming sort of scaly like eczema patches.

So yeah I'm knackered haven't really done that much today, but it has been cold today, and my mood is pretty low, think I might go get a glass of milk and a snack, take my make up off, put my pjs on and read some pride and prejudice in bed, I've got a long shift tomorrow 8.30 - 5 but I've also got to get my bloods done I was going to get them done today but it was a hour and 15 minute wait which I thought was silly, so I'll try for before work tomorrow.

Also my keyboard keeps being an idiot so everything takes me longer to write and post.

    Love and hugs xx

Hello all, not been here for a while, sorry not good with the chit chat, I can never keep up and would feel rude missing commenting on all the important things going on in your lives.....

......but just wanted to let you Christmas lovers know that Boots have Philosophy 'Christmas Cookie', 'Holly Berry' and 'Candy Cane' online at the moment for £3.50 (instead of £14). They keep going in and out of stock so worth checking back a few times if you want them.

Thank you all so much, it really helps to hear of other people who've had similar experiences. I truly appreciate all your kindness and you will never know how much it's helped :) Last night was horrendous, I felt like a murderer, I know I know bit dramatic! I got very little sleep and was over emotional all morning :( the slightest thing set me off! Anyway threw myself into getting on with DGD2s bedroom, altered curtains on the machine then duvet too, put up the bed really on a roll. Decided to sort through the toy boxes and put away what's no longer age appropriate - well that set me off again thinking of DGD1 and missing her too. Not helped by the message from Oz about how sad she was to hear about the dog:( So have left that job until tomorrow! I made some lunch then had a couple of hour snooze and now I'm fine :) been over to see friend (poorly one) and had a good chat. I know it was the right thing to do but he will be missed.

It really has helped getting virtual hugs from my online family and so many good wishes. You really are a lovely thoughtful bunch xxx

Glad you are feeling a little less low now Nana :)

It really wouldn't do having you blame yourself for something that clearly wasn't your fault.

Have woken up with a very upset tum - only happened the once, but am now in two minds as to visit my Nan today. I have to go out that way for a business related trip, but if I am in fact poorly (thought it could be related to big change in diet) then I really don't want to risk passing it on to her, or other residents in the home :( What to do, what to do ....

How does flylady work? I did have a peek, but it all seemed a little over-whelming. DH has not been any help with the cleaning. He was off last week and I am miffed to report that I think he flicked the hoover round once and had a 'play' with my new feather duster. Not happy as the house looks like a bomb has gone off and I am snowed under with work, seems I will have to either lengthen my working day again, or not list some new items for the shop :( Men!
