:bdaycake: happy birthday Chickywiggle hope it's been a good one.

It's been a really sad day in our house, we've had to have our dog of 13 years put to sleep :( I feel so guilty for it, as you know I've been complaining about him a lot, thinking he was being naughty and punishing us for going to Oz (her stayed with DD and usually loves it) and way over the weekend he has got worse and couldn't sit down properly, still weeing and dirtying anywhere so took him to the vets. Apparently he was blind, with what the vet thinks were tumours (in his tummy) and something not very good happening in his brain:( I've been horrid to him for weeks, he'd lost a lot of weight since Christmas too but I still didn't put two and two together:( Any how to cut a long story short the vet said the kindest thing to do was to put him to sleep. I had no idea it could be so upsetting. Like DD said he's running free now in doggy heaven (I do hope so) xxx

Oh Nana, I am so sorry my lovely :( You weren't to know though, try not to beat yourself up. Losing a loved pet is hard enough without you blaming yourself for it too!

OMO I'm sorry there is nothing you can do :( Thank you very much for the tip on Tesco clubcard though - I am now back in love with topcashback! Would it be unscrupulous for us all to share unused emails to do the refer a friend £10 thing?

freespirit, I can't help with the topper but I whipped these up a few weeks ago and now I know you are a fellow sugar skull fan, I have to share :)

Chin up, Nanamia, he was a well loved doggie, and he knew it, now at peace, and leaving you with lovely memories of him as a pup, a young dog, a strong, pesonality full family member, so smile, and remember.
OMO this lot of millionaire bully-boys haven't a clue or just don't care about we mere mortals, hopefully the ballot box will be their downfall.
Today is a busy one, a full weeks flyladying, and then a food shop, euch to both, ah me, keep smiling all xx
  • oh nanamia, really don't blame yourself, hard i know.. if it was only the last two weeks it could easily have been put down to misbehaviour.. i saw lots and lots of cases when i worked at the vets or people 'holding' on to their animals because it was just too heartbreaking to put them out of their suffering :( often would go on for months sometimes years poor things. So you have done the best thing when it came obvious he was in pain. be kind to yourself xx

OMO oh you've just spurred me on to use tcb again, got bored with it but if you can change them into tescos points that much then i'll use it again! brilliant. ty
