Just saw on an advert that musicmagpie now sell clothes so going to try and see what I would get for the stuff I already have in black bags, if its not worth my while then theres a "cash4clothes" shop local to me who pay 60p per kilo so thats the last option. Anyway happy cleaning / shopping / weekend to you all :D

I just tried this as like you have clothes to get rid of. Entered some branded jeans and went through a couple of pages of rigmarole of entering details only to be told they "aren't accepting those at the moment". Sigh.

    Afternoon all.

DD's have taken all their pressies up to their rooms this morning, so looks a bit less like Santa's Grotto in the front room now, DH asked when we were taking the tree down, so threw a pillow at him and pointed out it will be up until next weekend. Have done piles of washing and had ood clean up downstairs.

I really love Xmas Cards, but have to say they are getting on my nerves a bit, thinking of taking them down and just leaving up the tree, deccies and maybe family cards. I keep having to move them to polish and then put them back.

Have still stayed away from the sales, feeling quite chuffed with myself, but I can hear wrapping paper calling me, and gift sets that really need me to go and get them, so they can join the stuff on top of my wardrobe from the sales last year!

Am going to give up smoking as well next week, will purchase patches on Monday, so there may well be some grumpy posts from me as of the 1st.

BTW my birthday is 14th Dec x

Yey I finally get to go to sales today. Been sitting in work the last 2 days hoping that there's still wrapping paper and tags left. Is that sad? :rotfl:
Bought some bargain party bag fillers yesterday on dotcomgiftshop for dd's 3rd bday in Feb and they also had umbrellas for £1.29 (reduced from around £12!) So snatched up a couple for the bdays I have in Jan.
I'm planning on doing a One Direction hamper for my friend's daughter. Her bday is 19th Jan so if any of you lovely ladies see any related bargains over the next couple of weeks please let me know. Thank you. :)
I'll pop back on later and let you know if I found any bargains in the shops.

Our local spars have loads of 1 direction stationary knocked down to pennys, if you have some local x
    2 week 5:2=5.5lb off.

Thanks for letting me know I just sat down with the first of about 5 black bags but thought I would check here first before getting stuck in - Glad I did now! I used them once to sell cds and in the end it was more cost effective to hand them in to cashconverters so prob be the same with the clothes!

So far managed to sort out our car insurance (new insurance company threatening to cancel our fully paid policy as they hadnt received the no claims proof that I posted almost 3 weeks ago ) so now the old company our faxing it over - one panic over for the day! Have now got all presents upstairs and food gifts sitting on coffee table in living room, refusing to move them to kitchen until the kitchen has been gutted of junk lol. So glad I have my fitbit on and measuring how many calories this cleaning is burning lol (I even managed to walk 7 miles a few days ago just because I wanted to see the numbers rise lol)

  • Omo we will have to get together and have a wrapping party for next year we will make you see it is not a hellish nightmare experience. we did lush yesterday and we will cure the wrapping phobia too.

so this morning I've been to the vets, Charlie has been repeatedly sick over the last week, vet has said it is reflux so he has got zantac to take to ease it, so he is my club of having to take indigestion tablets just so you can eat something.

have also been to home bargains, aldi, boots and Iceland this morning, have got some good bargains will give you the full run down when I'm on the lappy, got a few pressies to put away :T

also sorry for the late post I did start it before all the shopping but after the vets

    love and hugs xxx

Must be honest, if I wasn't entertaining on NYE then I'd most likely have taken my decs down today too. I just want to clean everything thoroughly now. And now that I have more time on my hands. since all the frenzy of the build up to Christmas has passed, I find I'm more teary again at the mo about Turbo still being missing. :(

I've sorted out all the wrapping, bows and tags, and they've been put away now till next Christmas. I keep a small supply of plain wrapping paper and bows in a drawer for birthdays, but I'll miss seeing the Christmas papers. :rotfl:

I'm just having a tea break with a piece of Christmas cake, whilst watching the look back at F1 this year on bbc1.
I'm already looking forward to the new season next year. Love it.
