So glad you are back Carlamarie :) it's good to 'see you' xxx

My Christmas tree, although had only been up a week, had to come down today :( never take it down before the 6th usually! It toppled on top of DH on Christmas Day and we've paused the tv a few times since to listen to it creaking but this morning it looked dangerously like it was ready to go again so down it came:( Didn't want to chance DGD getting hurt. It's branches were almost bare and such a sorry sight. Remind me Linky to never never ever ever ever let DH and DD choose the tree again!
In my head we take the tree down on 6th few days to look bare, clean and tidy then off we go on our trip but no way too early:(

Linky I will work to your timetable think if you set it now we've plenty of notice and can work to it or face the wrath of Miss Linky. Can't believe so many of you have bought so much already I've had another NSD :)

Visited DSiL this afternoon to witness her in terrible pain:( stayed with her until she was comfortable again and away with the fairies on morphine. Hoping and praying nothing else is going to go wrong for her. xxx

I think a trip to Card Factory is in order tomorrow! I wrap not only my own stuff, but my parents, sister, best friend and a few others...I go through wrapping paper like its going out of fashion, not to mention the tags, sellotape/sticky dots, bows, ribbon and bags. This year was not too bad, I had it just under 100 metres, or about 30 rolls (depending on who its for)!

I suddenly don't feel well. I sense a nightmare coming on .

Linky, if only you lived close to me, I'd do your wrapping for you. I love it. I have boxes and boxes of ribbons and bows, and a copious supply of wrapping paper. I also keep a supply of empty boxes, which I use for squishy gifts, clothes etc. For me, that's half the fun. The wrapped parcel is the first thing you see. If I get a gift that's got beautiful wrap on it, it can take me ages to open it. I reckon I spend about 10 mins on each gift I wrap. The bows and ribbons either have to contrast or co-ordinate with it. I love it doing it.

I can spend a whole day wrapping gifts, Christmas films, and a supply of tea and biccies and that's me sorted for the day.

    *Or maybe I'm just a bit sad.:rotfl:*

Nanamia, sorry to see that Sil wasn't too good when you saw her today. Really hope she's feeling better soon chick. xx

  • I've still not been out shopping so have not got anything in sales. we will have to venture out soon to get milk and bread so will take a look then.

I want to take the decorations down but feel for my daughter's sake we should keep them up a bit longer but they will be down by 2nd.
You can if you think you can .

Report it, ChrissyG. People who hide behind aliases *and* send PMs rather than risk getting flamed by other people don't deserve a second of your time.
