Pinksteps thinking about you all. I can't praise highly enough the help and support from the Macmillan team. They really are angels :) I'm dread to think where I'd have been without them when DH was at his worst (I've brought him home from hospital twice now- after being told there was no hope for him and that we'd work together to make him comfortable!) Thankfully almost eight years on he's still with me :) xxx

Thinking of you Pinksteps. My dad has a MacMillan nurse who is apparently an angel in human form; I hear they all are.

    Xmas Saver!
I have an unexpected day off work.
There was nothing for me to do this afternoon, so I have moved this mornings work on to tomorrow afternoon. It makes tomorrow a long day, but it saves petrol, and gives me a day to myself after half term. :j

I do love dd, but I am used to time on my own. Ds doesn't really talk a lot, so I can get on with stuff. Dd just talks to me all the time she is here.

    Does that sound mean ?

Sometimes I feel mean, but I love silence. :o

I have just had a reply e-mail from the hotel I want to stay at.

I can book it today, but they don't take any payment until I get there.:j

I feel better having the money in my bank. I can pay it on my visa, and transfer the funds when I get back. It is also £7 cheaper.

If I paid it now through booking.com, over a third of the money would be gone from my holiday account, and I would panic there wasn't enough in it.

Just goes to show these cheap booking sites are not all their cracked up to be.

Doesn't sound mean at all OMO, we all need a bit of "me time" now and then.

  • DS and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday to Marrakesh :D

Hugs for those that need them.

Belated birthday greetings for those I missed.

Glad to have you back Nanamia.
I have spent today watching programmes i have recorded on my sky+ as we are cancelling it tomorrow, i love my tv and films and know i will miss it, but at £53 a month we just cant justify it anymore, then next thing when my contract ends i am cancelling my mobile phone contract and just buying a sim only deal, that will save about £25 a month, hopefully, then in may when contract ends on my broadband and homephone i am changing that, we pay £40 a month with BT and i have seen a few cheaper ones, i think i can half that, then we have virtually MSEd everything, food shopping, bills, the lot. I have got so much information and tips off of this site, it has helped so much!:money:

Have you asked Sky if they can offer you a better deal? I have the variety tv package, broadband and landline with them all for under £30 a month.

Pinksteps - hope you manage to get your 'me' time, be kind to yourself, with all that's happening you need it. Hope your dad is feeling more comfortable when you see him.
