CHRISSYG i love 'the furry assassin' i must tell my daughter, our dog broke her nose a couple of years ago and last week after our walk i had to have my shoulder strapped up and in a sling because he had nearly wrenched my arm out of its socket :rotfl:
I hope you are ok and not in too much pain now.
SUGARSPUN sending lots of hugs, hope the scan goes well
OMO is there a car park at your hotel?

SPRINGDREAMS oooh hope you had a lovely holiday in Marrakesh, yes we did look into it but apparently they dont do the cheap broadband package in our area!! We are going to stick with the free view channels for now and watch films from Love Film, the only channel i wont be able to access that i watch regularly is Sky Atlantic, so its worth the big saving we will make each month.

Pinkstep Been thinking about you especially today sending love and hugs. How is the news from Master pinksteps ? xxx

Linky did I hear you being ultra hard on yourself earlier? Please enjoy some guilt free "me" time :)

    Springdreams hiya :) xxx

BBTHREE where are you? I'm missing you?

I've done very little since we've been back! I know I know I'm a slob :( still not unpacked our cases- but I've been spending time with those I've missed so thought blow it :) But it has been a week now and even DSiL was surprised. I've done the washing (from holiday washing sack) but most things came home clean so just need sorting and putting away. May attempt tomorrow :) it's not like I'm going to need summer clothes here this week is it!
Started following the slimming world plan today. I'm following with DD as she goes to the meetings etc, although as you know I don't mix so will just be having weigh days at home. Need to get my head around it syns free foods etc not easy when I don't eat fruit or veg (well hardly any) ha. Day one was ok tho.

    Night night xxx

Yes freespirit66 there is a small carpark for 15 cars. It is first come first served.
Booking out of the hotel is 11.30 and booking in is from 2.

I phoned them yesterday and they said I can book in and park the car before my room is ready. I think I will get they about 12ish,(after our quick Primark stop:D), so am hoping to beat the crowd and get a space.

Once the car is parked it can be left there for the week.

  • Morning all :)

Just popped in to chastise Nana about being too hard on yourself about not jumping back into cleaning, sorting etc - life is just too short! Enjoy the loved ones you have missed, it will still be waiting for you when you're ready to tackle it! ;)

PS we got the ipad >.<

I did get to barter quite a bit, but must say I didn't enjoy the market places too much as you got pounced on when you even glanced at a stall. I like to browse and look at the different stalls first to get an idea of what things I might want to buy before being forced to decide. There was no chance to do that as the stall holders almost chased you around their stall and the nearby ones trying to get you to buy something from them  It made the whole experience very unpleasant and put me off of buying.

The entertainers also charged for taking photos and some of the women were very sneaky and dabbed henna on your hands when they talked to you then forced you to pay for the henna.

However, we enjoyed the camel rides, quad biking in the desert, climbing the Atlas mountains, visiting Berber villages etc. All in all, a very good holiday ;)

And it was cheaper, including food, drinks and excursions, than the trip that OMO has planned for London! It does sound like a very nice holiday though OMO. I plan to borrow one or two of your ideas for the week I have taken off of work during August :p

Oh DD would love to go abroad again. But I wouldn't feel safe leaving ds in the country alone, and there is no way he would come along.
I have to stay within a couple if hours driving distance. Nothing has ever happened to him when we have been away, but I would be so worried I would not enjoy myself.
I like to know we can telephone each other when ever we need to, and I could be home with him the same day.

ETA- a Haven caravan at Gt Yarmouth is over £700 for a week in the summer.

  • Well i think i may be succeeding in my quest to man up this year, i walked to the drs and back this morning (only 8 mins not exactly a trek) but to me it is, a) the walking on my own bit, leaving the house and b) going to the drs (its only taken 4 months to get myself there) :o But she was very pleased, didnt want me to go on any stronger anti-depressants, she said it will all fall into place in time, so i feel really relieved today, she said i should make myself go out every other day, so that is my next goal!

Oh NANAMIA too right, loved ones are much more important, and as you say i dont think the summer clothes will be needed yet! How is DH flu?
