Pinksteps thinking of you, and everything crossed your DS continues his great recovery xxxx

Freespirit your poor DD! am sorry to hear that, hope shes feeling ok, takes a day or two to stop feeling shaky, was she able to drive home? hopefully she will be able to drive her hire car around a bit to get back in the saddle, that isnt easy I know - the girl who hit me, her mum rang me the next day to check me and DS were ok and said her daughter won't get in the car and doesnt want to drive again, its such a shame, could have happened to anyone, felt so bad for her!

Linda-Lou - I feel your pain! felt the same the other day when I ventured out! as Ive mentioned I used to admin on a fansite and some of the stuff I saw and heard was hair raising, there are many people on the net who have issues and the only way they can gain any control is by having the ability to upset other people and therefore feel a bit of power i think, I only post the odd thank you comment in Grabbit threads, then run back here to safety!! There are some people ive come across who have impersonated somebody else and also those who claim to have life threatening illnesses etc when they don't, some claim to be dating famous people (again - they arent) I think they do it for attention and don't feel they will be interesting enough in their own right :( The sad thing is, you don't want to pull them up on it as they clearly need help, but at the same time they then think you believe them ... which of course you dont! very tricky

Did anyone manage to grab any nice Valentines bits? I popped to Sainsburys this morning and they had the big pink fluffy pig and the big teddy bear for £3 rather than £10, was very good and didnt touch those! I did get a red heart shaped hot water bottle which has a red velour cover for £1.80 from £6 (nice for my mums stocking and she will use that) and also there was one cake stand, heart shaped two tier in a box, which was £8 reduced to £2.40, ive always wanted a cake stand but they are always so expensive, I did see this at £8 the other day and liked it, so was really chuffed to get myself one at last!
  • Thankyou so much Snugglebunny, so much helpful and reassuring information! Really helped me a lot thankyou. xxxx The heart shaped cake stand sounds lovely, Ill have to venture to my Sainsburys tomorrow as I forgot I was also after the heart shaped oven dishes! All I got today was a pack of 2 cupcakes reduced to 50p from Co-op lol. x

freespirit66-Your poor DD, that must have really shaken her up. xx

princesskitty29-Thankyou. xx I will keep you all updated, Ill be so scared I wont be able to stop wittering on about it all lol. Your trip sounds very exciting and not long now until your wedding! xx

Happy Birthday to your DS Betsie2010. xx

Thankyou ReformedShopaholic, I didnt feel brave shaking in the waiting room lol. Your scrapbook is gorgeous, inspired me to do similar for my sisters 30th next year. xx

    Thankyou Linda-Lou. xx

Glad your DS is making such good progress PinkSteps. Take care of yourself. xxx

All the plates, cups etc for my DS' party came yesterday, glad I ordered it all as OH gets paid 4 days after his birthday and I just know we wont have the money for it all then! Just need a few party bag bits now, (only for 4 children) the food and DS' bike.

My niece is staying over tonight so we'll be having a movie night with pizza and popcorn then when they're in bed I need to sort out bags and bags of stuff for ebay/the charity shop! :)

  • For those of you looking for valentine things Clinton Cards had 50% off their valentine bits today. If you are interested in perfume then someone has posted on the grabbit board that superdrug have a promotion on perfumes. I have just ordered my daughter the Taylor Swift Wonderstruck for £19 for 100 ml's. She is paying out of her Christmas money but it seems a good price for a sizable bottle.

Good morning all! I have missed so much I'm not sure I'll be able to catch but I'll try - Happy Birthday to all those I've missed.

So I've got a £150 to pay for hen party activities for those who remember my dilema over money. However I'll not need to pay for any drinks while we're there as I found out this morning that we're expecting! A bit earlier than planned with DD being 10 months old but, providing all goes well, I'm 4 weeks now :-S

Have spent most of the morning feeling a little sick with fear for the cost of raising two :-)

    Hope everyone is well

    Congratulations x :T :j
  • Evening everyone
SNUGGLEBUNNY thankyou, yes she did manage to drive home, albeit slowly and crying her eyes out, then virtually collapsed in my arms from the stress of it all. She was the same didnt want to drive especially as the hire car is a bit bigger than hers, but i got her BF to go out with her for half an hour last night, so she could get used to it, she felt a lot better

PINKSTEPS thinking of you xx glad DS is doing so well

MONEYSAVINGMUMOFONE thankyou, and i hope your pain is beginning to go (well done for getting to the dentist) have a good movie night

Hope everyone has a relaxing non stressful weekend (Feisty that is for you too)
