Thanks snugglebunny, I hope he enjoys his surprise tonight! We're kind of going here there and everywhere! We're flying into Vegas for a few nights, then driving down to San Diego for a few more nights, then driving up to Los Angeles for a couple of nights and then we get on a 9 day tour that takes us to: Palm Springs, Phoenix, Sedona, Grand Canyon National Park, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Las Vegas (again!), Death Valley, Mammoth Lakes, Yosemite National Park and San Francisco! Phew. It's very much a blow-out holiday, but we have never done anything like this before and as it was our honeymoon we thought we'd push the boat out. We'd also like to start a family in the not so distant future and thought it may be some time before we got to do anything like it again! x0 -
Well done Feisty, that's great news.
Congrats island mum!
Picked up DD from school and she was grinning like a Cheshire Cat coz she got 2 valentines day cards!!Bless her, did better than me. We don't do valentines anyway, so I'm not fussed but it was good to see her this happy. Even tho one was shop bought card (her words, not mine)
Princesskitty - your honeymoon sounds fantastic! I'd love to go to America. I'm sure you're going to have an awesome time0 -
Pirncesskitty, your holiday sounds amazing! You're right to do it before you have a family. I regret not doing moe with my OH before we had kids. Although I do enjoy doing the lovely things with kids. But a carefree adventure would be great x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

snugglebunny another lovely meal! I love the M&S meal deals. OH and I were going to get one but there wasn't much choice in our local M&S
jakesbakescakes I think you have confused someone else's post with mine (dont know whose though!) as we aren't doing anything for valentines. OH did buy me a card and present which was totally unexpected! he bought me a watch which I had been meaning to buy but not got round to it. no meal here though:( sorry you didn't get your Christmas tree
craftymummy I bet your dd was so pleased to get two valentine cards
nanamia fingers crossed you get your trees
we had loads of snow yesterday but it has all gone, just ice instead first thing then a lovely sunny day. I took the dog out along one of the local tracks and there was still alot of snow, quite deep in some places. someone has just told me that in 2 weeks we are due to get the aftermath of America's snow - I so hope not.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

feisty your bag is gorgeous! I didn't see your comment about the fitbit as negative. that is my worry too that it will tell I am not doing enough exercise but I don't do anything about it. I could spend my days walking the dog but wouldn't get anything else done! However it is a gadget and OH is excited about it!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Hi all. sorry havent been around much, Ive been in agony with my teeth and finally braved the dentist. She was lovely and referred me to the sedation clinic as I need such a lot done.
So will be more problems there as I also have my phobia of intravenous needles!! Least I have about 6 weeks before I get an appointment...The antibiotics havent kicked in yet either so am still in pain constantly, making me very miserable!
So sorry to hear your news PinkSteps, my thoughts are with you all. xxx
Congratulations Island_mum! Lovely news.
Nanamia-What absolutely wonderful news about your DSIL, I am over the moon for you.Enjoy the rest of your time in Australia, cant believe how quick its gone. How lovely that your DS is paying for your next tickets so you can at least plan for that when you get back. xxx
Ive noticed lots of regulars missing too, hope they are all ok. Hopefully they'll come back and join us in the months leasing up to christmas.
We sort of do Valentines as in I get him a card and few bits and he gets me nothing lol. I forgot his card this year lol but he remarkably got me one!! Also got me a glass plaque with a poem on it and this morning when I sent him for more painkillers he came back with 2 heart shaped tins, both containing sweets. Sweets I dont like :rotfl: but I think he got me them because I love patterned tins so that was nice. The Nurofen was appreciated much more though lol.
Me and DS have made valentines cupcakes and DS made the lady in the shop downstairs 2 cupcakes, a candy cone and valentines card aww! But when we took it downstairs she'd finished her shift so DS was really disappointed! Will just have to give them to her tomorrow.
I dont see why you cant appreciate each other throughout the year AND celebrate your love on Valentines Day. Doesnt have to be one or the other.
Anyway Im rambling! xx'They only had one cow!'0
