  • sounds an interesting day chrissyg. ... whats the washing powder? we go through alot!

Heard back from the csa with new figures, which are what we're expecting with the extra 'man' on it.. (im sorry i wouldn't expect someone to pay for my girls over the age of 18, geezz i was starting my own family then lol) not sure how long the fraud team take on the other bit, but at least they actually came up with the same figure we did this time, much to the dh-ex's disgust i expect lol.

Was good girl and did JUST the food shop today, no pressie buying or clothes buying, going to see if i can stick to that for another 3 weeks, Though came home and missed another parcel grrrr.

My jaw clicked open today yay! means i don't have to have it broken and reset! its still very sore and tender but its on the mend phew! i can deal with a few more days pain at this level i think.

  • Kayandy- I agree, having a plan of action will help. It will give you something to focus on and look forward to. Good luck xx

I remember those 3 draw craft sets. Maybe somewhere like the works or Hobby craft will still do them?

I'm having a nightmare with this scrapbook book for my sister. After all the messing around with the printer ink, they have sent us a new print head and now works perfectly. Yesterday I went to get photo's copied and it turns out you can't do that in this town unless they are on a disc. So I either have to get bus/train to my city or put them on a disc. Luckily for me the printer is also a scanner so have managed to do this all on my own :j
the quality doesn't look as good so will attempt disc ones then if not good enough will go and get actual photo's copied.

*have just read this back and noticed the underlying current of how frustrated I am living here in this town as apposed to my city :rotfl:

KAYANDY so sorry you feel so low, i know what its like, the only advice i can think of is, planning so far ahead is good, but sometimes can feel as if you will never get there, break it down into chunks that are easier to concentrate on, one at a time, the amount you have saved is fab, :Tyou should feel proud of yourself, then perhaps concentrate on learning to drive and passing your test, then that will make you more independant and give you more options on where you could find work that you really want to do, perhaps a bit further or where you couldnt get to on public transport. And each time you achieve one of your aims it will help boost your confidence. I hope this helps sending hugs to you.

BETSIE hope your heel is a bit better now

CHRISSY thanks for that link, i never even thought to check on ebay for things like that, and they are good bargains i am going to order some dishwasher tabs and washing powder.

my order has just arrived and there are free destaining tablets in the bag.
you will need an egg cup as thats the amount you put in each wash, it doesnt seem enough but it is.i should have enough for about a year now.

i think dd's pressies have come but she is off school sick so i will have a look after she is in bed .

  • sending you hugs Kayandy Im sorry you have been so down - your action plan sounds great though!

Feisty I feel your pain honey! just realised OH signed up for something thats coming out monthly that I didnt know about and seems nor did he, its a bit soul destroying when you try so hard to cut down and save money and then it just seems to get wasted on nothing or so it seems! to be fair hes sorted it now though

oh freespirit I feel your pain too!!! the handle came off our living room door into the hall and trapped me in the living room, took me about an hour with screwdrivers, pliers etc before I could somehow get the handle in the other side of the door in the hall to fall off too so I could put in a pair of scissors into the mechanism hole and force it to turn and open it! we seem to have rubbish door knobs in our house that often fall off! usually you can just screw them back on but this time the mechanism seemed to have jammed ... after I finally got it open and both handles were off, the cat had one of her Wall of Death moments, sprinted down the stairs, crashed into the door and slammed it shut again!

Although not quite the same, I remember how frustrated I was relying on our immediate shops when we had no car :( I am guessing that you have hard copies of the photo's? It may be possible to scan them in and save them as digital prints, then get Tesco to print them. I signed up with Tesco and got 50 free prints! This site does something similar HTH

    I am in need of some help! Have had a request for some Childrens name plaques and am very keen to do them. The only problem is that I am finding it very difficult to get a narrow rectangle frame for less then £20 :( I need a frame similar to this;

Can anyone help? It doesn't have to be the same colour as I could probably paint if need be :)

You didn't say what size you need, but try Ikea or Wilkinsons. Also don't just look at empty frames, you might find something perfect with a picture already in, but that's usually very easy to remove.
