  • Nanamia - wonderful news about your dsil, must be such a relief to you and your family considering how bleak it looked before Christmas.

Sat all yesterday reading my kindle thinking if only I went to the shops to get photos done I could be getting on with scrapbook, thinking I'll go tomorrow or Thurs after work, then late last night realised since the photos are now on a disc I could use the hard copies to get on with the scrapbook and then get the disc printed for myself any time.
This means more nsd for me now and boy do I need them :rotfl:

You may well be a girl of few words Jakesbakescakes but they are always so warm and thoughtful. Bless you being without DH for a month it's a long time to be Mum and Dad! Hard work too I would imagine. Hopefully you will get to spend some quality time with DH soon xxx

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.

Not been on as busy with ds (and my tree). Arranged with a friend to have him on Monday while I was at work. I was only doing a half day, but didn't want to leave him. Any way got a phone call from her when I got to work to say someone had pulled out of a junction and gone straight in to the side of her car. Both her and ds where at the hospital.
So not only does his belly ache but so does his back now.

Apart from that he is getting better.

My cousin phoned to ask about someone on the family tree, and I stupidly opened it to have a look.
I am now completely hooked again. I find it so fascinating, and I love discovering new people and events . It can be very frustrating as well. I have a 3x gt uncle who disappears after the 1901 census. I have a photo of him taken in about 1907ish so I know he is alive but just not on paper.
Dd thinks I am going mad as I keep asking this photo 'Where are you ?', as if it is going to tell me.:rotfl:

I am going to post his picture so you can all ask him. He may answer one of you. :rotfl:
    His name is John.

Hi all. Not posted in a while, I've been reading but not had much to say. :)

Hope your DS's stomach and back feel better soon OMO.

I got some amazing bargains at the weekend. Not sure if anyone has a Blue Inc store near them but they have massive reductions on their clothes. I got 2 boys coats reduced from £34.99 to £5 each! Also 2 boys jumpers reduced from £12.99 to £3 each! Plus I treated myself to a jumper for £5. Then I went into Primark and bought girls winter night dresses reduced to £3. I've put them all away for birthdays later in the year. I'm going to really enjoy already having the pressies sorted when October comes around. :rotfl:

Sorry to hear some people are going through hard times. Hugs to all who need them.

Nanamia so glad you're having an amazing time. Really happy to hear about your DSIL.

My SIL announced that she has to get married before January next year and has asked me to help plan it all. She has been with her partner for 10 years but after a 5 year engagement and 3 sons in as many years they just haven't got around to doing it. She turned 29 last week and has said that if she doesn't get married before she's 30 then she's not doing it! :rotfl:

So I'm in full wedding planner mode. I'm thinking about offering to cross stitch her invitations as I did all my own, but I'm struggling to find a nice pattern. If I can put together a mock up before I offer then she can decide straight away whether it's something she would want.

Any way I've babbled on long enough. Chat soon. :)

  • Hi All,
    has anyone missed me? lol!
I cant believe how much catching up I have to do! I promise to do so over the next 24hrs so I apologise in the meantime for anything I am missing.
Been so busy practicing & setting up for my mobile beauty business, for now I am just offering waxing, facials & body massage, as I have specific training / recent certificates for these area's. Will add more as and when i can do more refresher courses. I officially open for business next monday, website is ready to go, and all business cards/flyers/posters are here courtesy of vistaprint, already have repeat appointments booked for all my "practice" ladies, so fingers crossed by the end of the year i should be making a decent living from doing what i love, and at times that work round my family!
I cant believe its taken me so long to discover vistaprint, dd's hamper for her 13th is looking great notebooks/pens/mugs..and her bday isnt until october...AND it was all free from vistaprint!
Got on scales today ARGH! But I did give up smoking at new year, and being another couple of lbs overweight must be healthier than the old 20 a day habit right? How are all the other non-smokers for 2013 doing? hope you all managed to keep off em too! Downloaded couch to 5k, and am going to start running again (its been years!), so wish me look for both my new ventures next week...
cuppa time whilst i make a start on catching up now..back soon x
