thanks you and hugs Jakesbakescakes
hugs too to Feisty and Freespirit xx
Nanamia such wonderful news about your DSIL! so pleased for you all, sounds like you are having a magical time down under! xxx
OMO am so sorry you are having such a rotten time and sending you and DS lots of hugs, I hope they are ok after the accident!
would you believe it!? I got rear ended too today! picked DS up from school, was in stationary traffic and suddenly a heavy hit at the rear end and a really loud bang, it felt like Id been punched! Looked in rear mirror and could only see what I thought was smoke (was steam - her radiator ruptured I think) I got out dreading the state the back of my car would be in ... not a scratch!? have no idea how that could have happened, its a little Fiat! Poor young girl white as sheet and shaking, she was so sorry I really felt for her, but after what happened with OH at the end of last year I got her to follow me home (close by) and got DS to get my neighbour to witness the conversation, isnt it awful that somebody screwing you over makes you unable to trust people?she was a lovely girl and so upset, she ended up with her mum taking her to get checked at hospital as she had hurt her neck and back, my back feels jolted but hopefully its nothing more - I was stationary and she couldnt have been going higher than first gear in that traffic so I dread to think what a high speed impact would be like!! everyone is ok though and thats the most important thing, poor girl was so upset - feel quite shaken myself as never had one before, then you worry about asking all the right questions and saying the right things, what a palavar!

NANAMIA Hello  glad you are still having a wonderful time, fab news about DSIL and that you could actually speak to her to hear for yourself
OMO Oh your poor DS, what an awful time he is having, hope he is ok, i too am doing my family history, although havent done it for a year (too expensive ordering all the certificates) i would love to have some old photos like your one, but i fell out with my mum about 12 years ago, and know she would never let me have some, it would be so nice to put a face to a name, i find it fascinating as well
HANLEY How exciting, and how kind of you to offer to cross stitch her invites
PINKNFLUFFY Glad everything is going so well for you, and well done for keeping off those smokes:T:T
SNUGGLEBUNNY Its happened to me 3 times in the years i have been driving, i just go to pieces (as per) and dont know what to say, one time a woman pulled out on me, admitted it was her, then next day her husband rang and said it was my fault, he actually took me to court (i was terrified) a private prosecution, but I WON:rotfl::rotfl:so he ended up with all court costs and compensation to pay!#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

I have no pictures from my Mum either. She would rather them be in a box in the loft than anyone else have them. She is very selfish like that.
I got that picture from a gt aunt. It is of him and his youngest brother. My cousin made me laugh when she said she felt creepy because she thought Ben (the younger brother) was dishy, and she shouldn't as he was a relative.:rotfl:
My Dad gave me all his family photos, going back to the 1890's. I also have all my Granddads and Gt Granddads medals from both world wars.
I am a member of Ancestry. It cost me £12.50 a month, but it is my treat to myself. The only problem is, I think I will have a quick look, find something new and spend all night on it. :eek:0 -
Hanley and pinknfluffy we've missed you! Exciting times ahead for you both
I'm wedding planner for DSiLs youngest daughter not for a while yet but I'm excited and have loads of ideas. Pinknfluffy go you girl, every cloud xxx You've done so well with the no smoking well done. X
Linky I've been shouting John up and down the bush here down under but no reply yet. I've not given up yet tho. I've had a little word with the friendly wild parrot that looks in each morning and he's agreed to keep his eyes open on his travels
Hugs to your DS he really has been through it bless him. Is he very unsettled ? xxxThe secret of Christmas
