I wish I had a little one to buy this for, but alas no. So I thought someone on here might like it for a little girls present http://www.cathkidston.co.uk/p-18340-cath-kidston-porcelain-tea-set.aspx?referrer=category

I bought two of these for two very lovely little girls. I saw them when they were £20 and thought they were too much then nearly bought them when they were half price at £10 and then wow they went down to £6 and I just couldn't resist. :j Can't wait for them to arrive now.

Sugarspun - have congratulated you on another thread but I'm going to do it again anyway, it is exciting news after all so .........congratulations :T

Well a good day and a difficult day.
Had dd's b'day party today. Cupcake decorating party for her and 8 of her friends. She was 8 last weekend. But the day was always going to be tinged with sadness as it would have been my sons 9th birthday today. Grace wascrealy sweet and made a cake specially for him which we took to his grave after her party. Then she gave one to me hecause she knew i missed him. That was it i fell to bits, shes so sweet at times.

Oh well another year gone by.

Sometimes children say the loveliest things - sounds like you have a sensitive and caring little girl there. It must have been very difficult but well done you for holding fast and giving her such a lovely party.

Do not panic if I am not around tomorrow. I have finished off the Christmas Baileys this evening. May regret it in the morning :rotfl:

Nanamia - glad journey went well and you arrived safely.

Caitlyn22 - The dress looked gorgeous.

OMO - I am typing this after drinking 2 bottles of wine I was errrrm forced to drink so I may also feel rough in the morning.

Everyone else - I am still playing catch up on the thread so will get there eventually and be able to comment and participate properly

My point is, if you like the none traditional dress, go for it! Mine was bought in the sale for £150 and I am sure it was fate as the nasty sales assistant smirked when I told her I wanted to try it - she claimed it had been ordered by mistake and no-one had ever managed to fit into it - hah! I showed her.

Any of you that gave in and bought a bread maker, I have posted a recipe for a quick cook cheese and pepper loaf. Complete with pictures/directions on how to activate the yeast!

    Your dress is amazing :T

Thanks for the recipe idea - my breadmaker arrived yesterday and I had my first loaf in in under an hour :D I made two, but still trying to perfect the knack :j I will try the yeast you have mentioned as well.

Pinksteps, I've ordered a tea set for my granddaughter. She's just 1, but it'll keep - too good to miss. Thanks.

Eljaycock, it looks like you've done a great job bring up such a caring girl. Well done.

Good plan! That's part of how I know the blue dress isn't THE ONE. Because one of the other potentials isn't quite right on me but still makes me feel pretty special. And I'm not usually an I-feel-special kind of person.

If the 50s styles appeal to you, have you looked at Vivien of Holloway? I would have loved one of those but I was pregnant when we got married and the little waist would not have worked.

Thank you everyone for your congratulations - I am trying to be sensible because it is so early but it is hard work :D

  • Yes I remember when I was getting wed last year one of thd girls had a viv of holloway dress and it was just fab, beautiful! X
  • Eljaycock, I am sending you great big massive hugs. Your daughter sounds adorable, hold her tight and be proud of what she said/did.

moneysavingmumofone - Can you stay in cottages then? I was tempted to do it this year, but my cousin started banging on about how there are lots of hidden fees, you can't pick where you stay etc :( Would love it on the cheap as by the time you have factored in food, the cost is ridiculous even without entertainment! We would need to take doggies too :)

OMO Thanks for the tip regarding adpoints! Can I ask how you joined? I have just sent an email to them requesting an invite so fingers crossed!

DH has been told he must not use the Nectar vouchers (he's a nightmare for buying lunch/treats with them!) and between (hopefully) this and ebay, I should be onto a winner come Christmas!

*edit* found the link to sign up! Should manage 500 points (£2.50) by tonight when they get added as I got a bonus sign up. Car Insurance is also due on the 31st, so will be going through confused.com to get that extra £10 worth of nectar points! We will have more points by the end of January then we did all last year lol
