HANLEY - Glad you are feeling much better
CURLY33 - Hello and welcome
MONEYSAVINGMUMOFONE - I think those glasses look perfect what a bargain! Oh that sounded very frightening hope you feel better now and the effects have worn off
OMO - I am the same today really grumpy and furious with myself for spending so much on xmas food, we are still eating it!!! Although on the good side i havent had to do a food shop this year yet only bread, milk etc. I cut down in every way possible but still ended up using my CC so all night i was worrying about next xmas and how i am going to manage to pay bills, eat and save, and quite frankly apart from food i dont know how else i can cut back. I think it was where i was buying little bits for weeks it didnt seem like i had spent much, so this year i am just going to do one shop.
NANAMIA - Glad you had a safe journey, enjoy your precious time with your DGD, how sweet she got into bed with you
PINKSTEPS - Good for you we all need a treat sometimes
SUGARSPUN - Congratulations :j
SNUGGLEBUNNY - Yes i have been disappointed with the Body Shop sale
FEISTY - What a gorgeous gorgeous colour
CAITLYN22 - I love love love that dress, but please go with your heart

I wish I had a little one to buy this for, but alas no. So I thought someone on here might like it for a little girls present http://www.cathkidston.co.uk/p-18340-cath-kidston-porcelain-tea-set.aspx?referrer=category0

We can't afford anything grand as deposit saving (and don't own passports) but I think a mid-week break to cornwall with the doggies is on the cards, off peak of course
Thanks all, still feel bleaurgh but hopefuly me and DS can have a nice day tomorrow. Planning to go to kids cinema and take him to get the hairbrush he wants for swimming. He was so excited when I said we'll go and get you a hairbrush lol.
Ive just booked our October half term hols to Skegness with sun holidays. :j Will be a very budget holiday (as usual tbh lol) but am already looking forward to it! Have been looking at the cottage we're staying in in April on google maps and its in such an idyllic location, SO excited! :j'They only had one cow!'0 -
Freespirit66 Do you have a Sainsburys near you ?
I have started doing their Adpoints on-line. You can get up to 250 points (£1.25) a week. I am saving all mine for next Christmas. It is not much when you look at it weekly but it could be nearly £60 by December.
And as they say - Every Little HelpsOh wrong shop

Just watched Night in the Museum 2 with the kids.
My dd is SOOOO blonde.
We got right to the last scene, (won't say what happens, just in case anyone hasn't seen it) and she said,
' Yeah, like that would happen in real life, it would be on the news !'

The look on ds's face was hysterical.0 -

Caitlynn, I got married in 2009 - I had it in my head that I wanted a 'proper' wedding dress. We searched for almost 2 years and my cousin (who was maid of honour) was ready to throttle me. I'm very short, so meringue dresses looked like a frumpy child playing dress upWhen my cousin picked out my dress, I instantly snubbed it, it wasn't traditional, it didn't scream wedding and it seemed too 'blingy' for me. However to stop her from killing me, I did try it - I was smitten
My point is, if you like the none traditional dress, go for it! Mine was bought in the sale for £150 and I am sure it was fate as the nasty sales assistant smirked when I told her I wanted to try it - she claimed it had been ordered by mistake and no-one had ever managed to fit into it - hah! I showed her.
Any of you that gave in and bought a bread maker, I have posted a recipe for a quick cook cheese and pepper loaf. Complete with pictures/directions on how to activate the yeast!
Beautiful! I also bucked tradition and got married in red and gold dress :T0 -

have you looked at national holidays they do a choach trip and hotel, show from 2 or 3 days from 99pound up wards hope it help youfamily mean more to me than money it's call a life0 -
And boy did you fit in to it - you look stunning!
I think I've definitely come round to non-traditional, the one in question is blue (I would be my something blue!) but it's not so much the style or the colour that's an issue, it's that it doesn't feel special enough if you know what I mean?! If I took away the huge netted petticoat I bought to go with it (!), the dress is actually not too different to some I wear for work - its conservative 50s style. Actually, it's this one:

Sorry...slight rant there!!
Caitlyn22 i think the dress is lovely. Its your wedding you have what you want! I argued with my mum over mine. She said white i wanted red. In the end i had what i wanted and she thought it looked great. At the end of the day it needs to be something you want tofeel special in and sod everyone else. That and having kids must be the 2 things you have final say in!0 -
Well a good day and a difficult day.
Had dd's b'day party today. Cupcake decorating party for her and 8 of her friends. She was 8 last weekend. But the day was always going to be tinged with sadness as it would have been my sons 9th birthday today. Grace wascrealy sweet and made a cake specially for him which we took to his grave after her party. Then she gave one to me hecause she knew i missed him. That was it i fell to bits, shes so sweet at times.
Oh well another year gone by.0
