Nanamia - if I'm not too late have a wonderful time! I'm torn between saying forget about us and concentrate on having a lovely time with your loved ones...to pleading with you to check in regularly and tell us how things are going!!

Whatever you do, know we'll all be thinking of you and wishing you well on your journey!

Also, am starting to think about DD's first birthday in April (is it too early?) and want to do a teddy bears picnic theme so was wondering whether anyone had any ideas for food or decor? adults Too obviously. Also, any ideas for a token party bag like gifts (cheaply) for a little pile of 1 year olds? :o

Never too early to party-plan!! :j

It's not very teddy bear themed but for all kids parties I make Racing Cars - the body of the car is a sponge finger (the crispy ones you might use in a trifle) then using icing or melted chocolate you stick on four smarties for tyres and - this is the brutal bit - cut the legs off a jellybaby to use the top half of their body as the driver. I usually ice the age of the child on the front of the car too, to look more like a racing car!

The bonus is you get to eat all the jellybaby legs!

My nieces and nephews also like 'fairy bread' which is basically jam sandwiches cut in four diagonally then coats one edge with hundreds and thousands. You could also do single slices of bread and coat the flat side but that might be a sugary step too far!

I made werewolf cupcakes for Halloween that could easily be adapted to bears I'm sure, just make them less angry looking and use two more smarties for ears! I don't have a pic of mine but they were the Martha Stewart ones, I just followed the icing pattern, really easy!

I'm sure there's lots of other crafty things you could do. I'll keep an eye out but you should put teddy bear's picnic into Pinterest. (I have to resist as once I've pinterest-ed then I'm there all night!!)

My diet doesn't start until February and I've been wearing mine since Christmas :D I am always bottom of the leaderboard :rotfl:

I'm pretty sure I was at the bottom this week ;)

Nana, have a wonderful journey! I can't wait to hear your DGDs reaction to her hamper!

Kind of a productive day today, wanted to achieve more - but there again, I always set unrealistic personal goals :rotfl:
