pixtotts, that church is beautiful! I'll definitely have to pay it a visit sometime. My DH and I were looking at buying a house on that side of the river, but since his work moved from Hallow and I work in Redditch, it's just not practical. But hopefully one day
Did anyone else have any better luck than me with the Seek Santa comp? I found a couple of them but I was definitely not the first to find them. Lots of people are complaining that they couldn't see the images even though they'd been on the pages before the winners posted. Ah well, it was a bit of festive fun I suppose! Even if I was supposed to be working at the time...
ARTHIEN i was useless at it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:but i must admit i couldnt see the santa on my page eitherhis_missus wrote: »Hi all,
Babyboo, that's for the thoughts - yes, I do have my small family and some very close friends supoorting me though it all and Hubby is being a star esp as a taxi driver for mum. Today they should decide what kind of drip they're going to attach to dad. If it's a "portable" one, hopefully he can home at the weekend.
Went out with one of my best friend's last night for our xmas get together whilst Hubby wrapped up his pressies to me.
Tonight he's out so I'm going to have a right good clean up so I don't have to do it at the weekend.
HISMISSUS oh i do hope your DF is home for christmas xI've been using that on my tongue as well as my throat lol.. washed down with strepsils because I am too lazy to do the walk to Boots to get their own brand tyrozet type things which are fantastic.
I can't eat toast at all.. I'm eating rice or pasta or nothing at all.. though I have had a couple of ice lollies late on a night more for the fluid than anything else.
My sister just brought round a bunch of presents and my daughter took a couple of cards home with her.
She is just taking the application in for the house which will secure it .. apparently the agents only take 1 application per house at a time so as soon as theirs is in it is closed to further applications until theirs is processed.. They take 10 days to process but closed for a week so will take nearer 3 weeks unfortunately but their fees are half price for December which is good and they get a hamper when they move in which is really nice too.
It needs a bits of decorating doing which might end up as my joband a good clean including carpets so I might hire a rug doctor thing for a weekend and do all mine and theirs in one go. Apparently it has a big range cooker and the washing machine staying and needs a bit of fence at the end of the back garden where it backs on to the railway lines which is no issue at all. Everything crossed the credit check comes back ok!
I hope its good news for DD1 getting the house, shame it takes so long, but it will be a lovely fresh start for the new year#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -

I'm glad it wasn't just me! I definitely went on some of the pages before the winners posted, but hey, at least it kept me busy for an hour! I'm surprised they hid Santa in the source code though, that's hardly fair for people who aren't very technologically-minded. Ah well, at least we'll know where to look next year
I've just ordered my turkey, I'm so relieved! I was really worried I would end up with a solitary frozen Tesco value leg or trying to persuade my family that it wasn't just a large chicken, honest... £25 for a 5kg Norfolk bronze turkey from a proper butchers, that's about half the shop price, which means I'm an extra happy bunny! :j0 -

I'm keeping fingers, toes and eyes crossed that it's portable xxx
Well most of the furniture has soldI've had an amazing local facebook seller help me, she's only taken 10/20% commission but has single handidly sold most of it! In more good news I was asked to inventory the remaining none furniture stock, I calculated prices at what I'd charge in a market environment, and its still come out at close to £1.1k!
We may manage to pay the credit card debt off by the end of January!
One of my nurses has called in sick, so although I'm technically supposed to be on Christmas leave, I have to go in tomorrow morning, but I am too happy to care!2024 Challenges

It is really hard on you but nothing and no one is worth losing your daughter over especially some snot-nosed kid she won't want anything to do with in time.. you will always be her mother, he won't always be her OH.. probably.. statistics are not in her favour.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

That is wonderful newsI would mentally go through a checklist of topics that are off limits and do not broach them. She could be testing the waters to coming home, so hopefully this will make her see a little bit of sense

Oh Junior, your family acrobatics sound like such a headache, but fingers crossed for a super Christmas.
I felt myself getting over-whelmed earlier as the shop was supposed to be wrapped up today (no chance) the flat is a tip, loads of presents still left to wrap, and a whole zimmer frame tote to make for my Nan (I've got as far as buying the fabric). I must remember we are not aiming for perfection, just a loving time with friends and family!2024 Challenges
