I have done nothing today. I've had a splitting headache and have spent most of the day in a chair with my eyes closed.
It wasn't until about 5 o'clock that I realised I had only had one drink all day. That was first thing this morning.
So I still have to finish my wrapping. ( Robbie's bit can be done after Christmas as he will not get them until next Sunday). Downstairs is reasonably clean. The floors will be steamed on Saturday, and the ironing will be put away.
But to be honest I feel so yuck I don't really care. The upstairs bathroom can have a normal clean. Anyone that visits will use the downstairs one. I don't expect we will get many people coming here anyway.
I need to go food shopping, ds is getting some milk on his way home from football. But again if I don't anything else we will not starve. I pass a Tesco Express on my way home from work. I can pop in there and get the fresh bits.
Still don't feel festive at all. It's not the same once the kids get older.
Am going now. The screen is hurting my eyes.
Hope you all are more Christmassy than me at the moment.0 -

Poor OMOI really hope you're feeling better now?
Maybe we should start a thread called the unwitting grinches, for those of us that are desperate for Christmas spirit, but just can't find itx

Popping on to say big hugs to those that need them and woohoo to those that already have the Christmas spirit bubbling in their veins!
Been busy over last couple of days but did get to watch Nativity and Nativity 2. Loved the first, didn't think much of the second (maybe cus I watched them back to back? Was square eyed but determined to make most of the bit of spare time I had!)
Today I iced the cake to take to Moms for Boxing Day (will try to upload a pic tomorrow when I'm less kn****erd). Went to my aunts funeral which took up most of the day, then ended up driving miles out of the way when I took mom and sis to drop pressies off at my Uncles! Blinkin sat navs! I hate em with a passion!
Had a little glass of Baileys cus I need the space and there was only a little left in the bottle (hic!) and I'm off to bed to hopefully sleep (which hasn't been happening for the last week or so which accounts for my extreme tiredness.) So- at 8.35 pm I'm saying both ' Hello' and' Goodnight' xxx
Just think- this time next week..............................!!lovin' this site!

Just popping on to say I'm still reading. DS had his splints fitted yesterday so it's hectic and I'm worn out, but no more appointments for the rest of the year so time to take it easy and catch up
:rotfl: So by no appointments for the rest of the year you mean no appointments for at least a fortnight then ! :rotfl:FeistyFidget wrote: »Poor OMOI really hope you're feeling better now?

I am just do that :rotfl:
I have been on the phone to my oldest friend for over 2 hours.:D We don't see each other that often now. But are going to meet up in the new year. I feel a bit better now I have spoken to her. I can talk about my childhood knowing I won't be judged.
We were laughing about how we used to run round her house looking for a 50p when the tv went off. It always happened at a good bit.
( yes she had a payg tv) :rotfl:0 -

*snigger* Sorry, I know you meant a hydrating-type drink really!
I don't think I've told you all yet, Pretend Christmas last weekend was lovely. OH bought me too much chocolate and it wouldn't all fit in my stocking! And I spent the whole day in my pyjamas drinking prosecco and eating things.
And you know when you've managed to get someone something they really, really wanted, and then when they open the gift and see it, and you see their face completely light up. Isn't that one of the most lovely things ever?
I think OH liked his present.
