I'm a few pages behind so bare with...
msgigglewick - you are far too amazing... I love the cushions definitely thinking I might do my little sis a creeper one for her birthday now, and your cake looks really pretty! I love the little elves they are so cute! I wish when mine flopped they looked half as good as that... actually they never look anywhere near as good... We're not decorating ours Christmas day morning while mum and Gran cook dinner I think
but I have one of those stupidly expensive playmobil advent calendars (though I got it cheap...) I'm thinking I have to use some of the bits and pieces on the cake now
thanks for the idea
junior_j - I'm very sorry to tell you this, but you actually can get tonsillitis with no tonsils. My mum had hers out but has still had it a couple of times in recent years. Which is how come I've refused to have mine out (they actually don't like removing them any more except in really bad cases), I get severe tonsillitis but to have an operation and then not be guaranteed to be rid of it I don't see the point
mrs-moneypenny - Your Chirstmas eve sounds amazing! I haven't been to a Christingle service since I was tiny, we used to go every year with my aunt, uncle and cousin.
I just started looking into we have a beautiful church - I snapped these when we were there last week putting in some flowers to mark grandads death.
(sorry the pictures massive) the only services there are in that church this christmas is holy communion on christmas day, and evensong on the 22nd, everthing else - crib service, midnight mass, family service, is taking place in other villages, or in the village hall. I don't understand why we have services in the village hall when that church is just down the road, and so beautiful, and open for tourists! ggr!
Anyway went off topic... our Christingle isn't untill the 19th of Jan
Ruth_honey - I don't know of a Christmas market in Worcester this weekend :S?
I'm at the house I'm looking after now... I didn't finish my roomFather Christmas is going to break his neck getting my stocking to me, sorry anyone after me lol.
I have already wrapped all the Christmas pressies I brought with me to do, but meeting mum in town on Friday so may end up bringing some more to do, and have my Christmas decopatch with me to doyay!
Anyway I'm going back in time I've already shared the Christmas tree piccy but thought you might like to see the bringing the tree home photo...
I don't have a tree now untill I go back home christmas evebut I do have a christmas tree candle burning
. Sainsburys jar candles are half price, £3.50
I may have to go get another one x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -

The pic is so cute, what a sweetie! I remember (just!) being that age, my mum always reminds me that I used to be so excited for Christmas and for Santa's visit that I used to keep myself awake almost all night and then end up feeling poorly on Christmas day because I'd overdone it!mrs-moneypenny wrote: »Even now at 27 she still says she knows for a fact santa visits children who believe because she saw him.
It's true, we all believe don't we? :jRuth_honey wrote: »Hopefully I'll get chance to pop in and keep up to date with your news, but if I don't, have a great few days and if any of you are at Worcester Xmas market on Sunday, look out for me. I'll have a penguin Christmas jumper on and probably swigging mulled wine!
Urm, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but Worcester market was only 4 days long and it was a few weeks ago! It's still a lovely place to visit and there's quite a few Christmassy things on, bands playing carols and things like that, but not really any Christmas market stalls as such
ETA: cross-posted with pixtotts, if you don't know of a market in town either then I don't think it's likely to be on, and at least it's not just me and my memory like a sieve! That church is beautiful though, whereabouts is it if you don't mind me asking?0 -

Nana, I'm aiming to have it all finished by Friday - whether or not it happens that way, I don't know. But I flipping well hope so!
Bless your lovely post. Feisty I hope you continue feeling festive and have the wonderful Xmas you deserve!!

oh man I can't believe that ! I had mine taken out when I was 16 so about 5 years a go they took them out due to reoccurring tonsillitis and a growth! Wouldn't surprise me if this throat stuff is tonsillitis the ! Let's hope the antibiotics do there job! Third time a charm
Hope everyone has a lovely day xxNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

Hi All,
This time next week...:j
mrsgiggles - your cake looks fab!
pixtotts - I have just emailed Santa and told him to visit my house before yours
Hubby went out to buy me some stocking fillers last night as I was sending him out anyway for loo rolls and bread. £80 he spent on me using my credit card! How big does he think my stocking is??
Mind you some of the stocking fillers I bought got his wouldn't fit (I swear the stocking is the opposite of the TARDIS - large on the outside, yet so padded there's no space inside!) so the cats have each bought him a pressie.:D
Dad's back in hospital for at least a few days. The cancer has spread to his ribs and he needs to have more fluid drained off his chest. It's going to be a very "up in the air" kind of Christmas this year I think.:(0 -

well, wrapped most of the morning, but got distracted by a phone call that made me scream out loud (in a good way):T:j:T so had to ring DH nad share the news, then DD2 rang to adjust her christmas plans nothing major just tweeking friday and saturday round and adding children to saturday. Then a work collegue dropped round for coffee as she had 30 mins to kill before work.
went to work and got back to a card from the post office another of DS1s christmas packages copped for customs duty so being held till we pay a ransom, we 'owe' £30+ on two packages now and hes still got another to be processed:mad: have enlisted DH to take DS1 to the sorting office after work to pay and collect
huge hugs, good wishes and gentle supporting vibes to everyone who needs/wants them.
there is nothing on this earth now that can spoil my happy mood now.
off to wrap some moreSPC~12 ot 124

Oh no! Thank goodness you both said something. I must've gotten muddled in my head. Serves me right for looking up 1001 things at once! Hopefully mum will be up for visiting Worcester anyway. Sounds nice & I'd rather avoid massive towns/shopping centres a few days before Christmas.
Treated myself to a festive sarnie from Sainsbury for lunch. Wish I hadn't bothered because it was yucky! On the train now and it looks grey and gloomy outside. Still, at least it's dry at the moment.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
School's out!!!! DGS is on top doh, excited as all get-out! Spent the afternoon at my DB and SILs playing with my great niece and nephew, yummmmm. Now I'm off to get ready for the shindig tonight with lovely friend. Don't have to worry about what to wear, as, as I said earlier, I only have one frock!
I called at B&Q earlier this morning and came away with 5 japonica, 2 mixed winter basket plants and 3 cyclamen for less than £20, super cheapo.
Havent had time to do more than skim read, so will come back and re read when I get home. Hope everyone is ok, hugs to everyone, accompanied by choruses of Ding dong merrily on high.....0 -
Just popping on to say I'm still reading. DS had his splints fitted yesterday so it's hectic and I'm worn out, but no more appointments for the rest of the year so time to take it easy and catch up0
