just watching christmas bake off programme, loving the look on marys face when paul suggested colouring the marzipan so the stollen has colour running through it.
i want a slice of stollen now

I tried stollen for the first time the other day at my aunties! I am not a real lover of anything "spiced" and dare I say it I hate mince pies! I also hate cream including whipped cream unless on hot chocolate! I am such a weirdo! However I quite enjoyed the stollen I had a tiny bit probably the amount a 2 year old would eat but least I tried,

nanmia hello lovely! You okay? Festive princess is lovely of you to call me! However my hairs a state I need a bath and and look like a snot monster :p

feisty hope hubby is okay! Also hope you warmed up quick!

msgiiglewick the cake is fantastic! Well done x

I saw the doctor again who's put me on a third anti biotic for another two weeks! She said I have a throat infection caused by the bacteria in my sinuses gross eh!

Least I don't have tonsils so it won't turn into tonsillitis although it feels close to it lol.

Last night my mum wasn't feeling Christmassy and went to bed early so i snuck out the house brought a new tree decs , mince pies and a bunch of flowers , she was most impressed and surprised when she came downstairs! I love seeing that beautiful woman smile :o

Anyway presents aren't going to wrap and tag themselves !

    Be back soon x

I watched the christmas bake off earlier and mary berry made a tunis cake, it took me right back to being at my nans at christmas she never had a christmas without one, i think i am going to have to make one this weekend :D got my cards sent today, bought the scratchcards for the pots of gold and have made my final food list, while i had DD1 at home with her car, she is back at work tomorrow

Aww I'm so pleased. It sounds fab :) DD1 is a real credit and of course DS arranging to look after the dog. You deserve to be spoilt rotten, hope you are going to have a couple of lazy days now to catch up. Don't want you burning yourself out before the main event xxx
The panto was brilliant. We loved every minute of it. DGD2 was shouting out and singing. We had a great time, stopped for costa on the way back too very festive. This morning I went to the dress rehearsal of dear next door neighbours middle one who is six. She was amazing, made me cry of course, she was the donkey who narrated the play and had a few solo songs too. She sat bolt upright and looked most professional :) Watch out xfactor. They three children are all adorable, see blessed again xxx
Night night sleep well, I will catch up with you tomorrow xxx

Oh you dont know how much i need a lazy day :D aaah bless her im so glad she enjoyed it, its just an excitement fest for her at the moment what with panto, birthday, party and christmas :) oh arent kids so sweet at that age in nativity plays, that was a lovely treat for you

  • Hi all,

I've been so busy, i keep meeting myself...i'm running round here there and everywhere.
Today i went shopping in the nearest City and it was as expected chaos and i was gutted the Xmas jumpers in primark were tacky feeling-kinda like market type polyester...gutted.

I did manage to buy some stocking fillers-mainly food/sweets etc from poundland and get my mums next voucher.

I went with a friend and we went to bhs cafe and had their turkey carvery for lunch-was overpriced at £6.50 and there was NO sprouts-we both love sprouts so was a bit miffed...the advert for it showed sprouts too lol!

I saw my brother today as well and did his food shop for him, that was his xmas present as he's not had much work recently with the shifts being odd where he works.

Came home just in time to pick ds2 up from school-he's still got a cough and snuffle-i have it now too but he's ok in himself now and a million times better.
Then my friend and her son came to visit and they played for 2 hours...and other stuff with the family etc i managed to grab a 20 min soak in the bath and 30 mins chat to my mum tonight lol.

i have been to bed once already but couldn't sleep so i got up and washed up, drunk a mug of horlicks and posted on a few forums...my brain is spinning and i'm feeling a bit rubbish, another busy few days/weeks coming up...i should be back to myself by Jan 3rd...LOL.

it's my birthday soon as well...12 days and counting...then blokes in 14 days...it's crazy really!!!
I hope you are all well, i need a massive catch up...i read about the fire, that must of been horrific :-(

hugs to all that need them and prayers too
    xxx
Don't tell me this nothing...this is my nothing

fever.. I think BHS food is awful.. My mother got their turkey carvery last week and left most of it.. the first dinner she got was stone cold so she took it back.. the second dinner was just warm but the meat was dry and inedible. The only hot just was the gravy! My Panini was overcooked and hard... their hot chocolates are grim too.

Aww Bunbun belated birthday wishes. Your day sounds good, just what you need to recharge batteries at this time of year. Peaceful day, walk with DH and dog and yummy guilt free hot chocolate :) xxx
Mrsinvisible well it's gone midnight so über exciting 2 days :) I'm delighted they are spending Christmas with you. It is your duty as my friend to give the Los an extra squeeze from me xxx
Linky another so happy start to Tuesday, hope it got better. I'm not surprised tho, you'll be tired from stresses and trip at the weekend! Please be kind to yourself. We'd be lost without you xxx
Msgigglewick fab makes as always :) I love the cake the elves look fab. I've been dying to hear from somebody who has actually seen the Nativity 2. Is it worth it? DGD2 so loves the first one but I wouldn't want to disappoint her xxx
Pigpen I do get knackered just thinking about your to do list and yet selflessly you keep on helping others you are a superstar :) DDs house moves seems promising, got everything crossed for you all. (My DD lives about a three/four minute walk from us, it's perfect. Them DS lives 12000 miles from us, that's horrendous!) xxx
Feisty come on my lovely, big deep breaths, you've nearly done it. You know what has to be done. Big hugs, you are almost there xxx
Mrs M you are another one that wears me out just reading :) The school panto sounded fun, glad DS enjoyed his scout party (in his wonderful outfit) and then martial arts club and sewing and an hour to spare!!!! I didn't know there was a festive bake off on:( must see if I can get it on catch up xxx
JJ I want to adopt you please. I know you've already got a wonderful Mum, but maybe you wouldn't mind and extra Nan? You really fill me with hope too. Our wise owl Mrsinvisible found perfect words this morning. You are such a superstar. My Festive Princess (well I'm hoping you've bathed by now hehe) xxx
Fevertotell slow down my lovely, you are still recovering! Even tho the bhs food wasn't up to much, you've been surrounded by friends today, sounds just perfect xxx
Freespirit it was DDs last working day today till the 27th so DGD2 had a sleepover and a playday with us :) We made the hot chocolate tray and took it round to hers as a surprise when she came in from work (she's usually cold, tired and a little grumpy) She was over the moon. Put photos onto FB and I've been inundated with requests. Ha. It was a one off. And I did give you all the credit. Try and squeeze a lazy day in xxx
Ruth thank you too, I took the hamper into the chemist today too. Oh the pharmaceutical dispenser cried. She is so wonderful with me and they've all helped so much with scripts etc. above and beyond their official role, it was a pleasure to bring them a little joy. And the best present ever (as if I've not been blessed enough) the other lovely in the chemist who has been poorly was lucky enough on Saturday to get a much needed kidney transplant woo hoo. It really is Christmas xxx
