Hi everyone, What a lot of posts since I last came in here! You have all been busy, typing at least
.
I panicked today and bought mum another Christmas present as her scarf was just not happening! And of course the panic buying urged me on, so much so that I sat and knitted the last 25% or so of the scarf (80 rows of lace knitting, with 73 stitches each row!- the whole thing is 320 rows of 73 stitches!), grafted together the two sections, and then washed and pinned out to shape. It has grown in length now it is washed (was hoping it would- pattern 'opens out'). Phew. So once that is dry, tomorrow, I can wrap it and the other present, plus niece and nephew things and get them posted on monday!
DH was paid on Fri, so did a big shop of some of the extra bits we'll need in for Christmas, leaving only the fresh bread/veggies/fruit to get nearer the time.
I also made a meal plan to use up a lot of the 'random stuff' in the freezer which will 1. save time and faffing at tea time, 2. use stuff up, 3. make space! Quite happy with that.
Also took DS to see the reindeers that are at a local shop right now, they also have the most massive rabbit we have ever seen! DS enjoyed it, but we had to head back home to our town, so DS could have lunch and then go to his last swimming lesson of this term (was only 4 weeks as the pool was being re-tiled- he is back after the holidays!).
Monday is his school party and he needs to take his nativity clothes (which is just antlers as he is a narrator and they've to wear uniform and a head decoration!), nativity on Thu aft (when I am going) but also need to take him down at night for the evening show!
He enjoyed his disco last thur, and tomorrow they will be practising the sunday school song and actions.....it's all go.
Next week will be, dealing with all that, wrapping, other knitting now scarf done, house-tidying and hopefully some chilling in prep for the big day next week!
Hope all are well and not feeling snowed under with things.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I was really impressed with the Argos delivery although i was expecting the usually big truck a white van pulled up at 12 o clock apparently Argos delivery some of their smaller items via Yodel.
i received a text saying my delivery slot was between 12 and 9 pm and he was here 12 on the dot , i know Yodel take a slating but this guy was friendly and polite.

Morning all,
Just popping in for an early morning catch up. Didnt get to bed til after 1.30 am and still woke up well before 5.00 am  Got first wash load of the day on now.
Had a brilliant time at Durham Cathedral - it was truely amazing. Would love to think we could do it again next year. Had a little look around the shops before service (weather was a bit yucky). Then we set off to look for somewhere to have a meal and couldn't get over how busy it was and how many places were fully booked (you can tell we don't get out much) - however we found a lovely little poshish place and the food was gorgeous (bit pricey but I told DH it will have to be an early xmas pressie). Made our way home around 10.00 pm and then I had to catch up with XFactor and Strictly before bed.
nanamia and freespirit - have a great time today (don't forget we want to hear all about it). Nanamia - love the siggy btw.
Going to church this morning and then I don't know what to do this afternoon but I really should do something
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday whatever youre up to.

Chrissy the poor dog
fingers crossed tho it doesn't get any worse. It's good to hear something positive about deliveries, especially at this time of year xxx
b_e_g me too, I did set the alarm for an early start but I beat it! But then I'm excited(simple things) Yesterday sounds like a perfect Christmas treat, I'm glad you both enjoyed it. Thanks about the signature, DN made me a Christmas playlist on my phone and I heard the song yesterday, first thought Oooh that's Mary Poppins singing. Googled around a little and it's called the secret of Christmas. It's about us all on here xxx
