Oh dear...hubby put two mince pies in the microwave to heat up. I TOLD him just a few seconds, but noooo...
Now we have a smoke filled kitchen, two rock hard wasted mince pies and something glued to the plates like treacle that probably won't come off with soaking.
It's supposed to be ME that's rubbish in the kitchen!

We have just got back form the Christmas concert at the boys' school. The choirs and orchestras are really very good especially the senoirs. We were sitting next to a couple who are the parents of ds1' best friends a few years ago. I don't know what we have done to offend or upset them but they hardly said two words to us and walked off without saying goodbye:(

I posted my Christmas cards today - yay! that is thanks to this site. people might get their cards before Christmas this year:rotfl:

freespirit so glad you are all OK. that must have been so scary

nanamia I am fine thanks and am trying to adapt my diet to bring my blood sugar down. I have lost about half a stone which isn't too bad. DH is fine and is now on supply teaching. He has worked in a variety of schools - secondary, primary and has also worked with the north east autistic society which he really enjoyed. he loves not being tied to one place. The lack of income is still scaring me but he has had a couple of weeks of 4 days work so fingers crossed things are on the up

pigpen fingers crossed for your dd's move

Wow noway I can't believe baby Franklin is one! Oh my how time flies doesn't it. Fancy you remembering that Freespirit OMG I can't believe the dramas of last night. Thank heavens everybody is ok. DD to the rescue, she's such a blessing isn't she. It must've been very scary for you all. DSs party sounds very swanky doesn't it and what a bonus- an iPad wow, you'd love it, he may share! I'm not surprised you took to the sofa, rightly so. Doesn't bare thinking about what might have happened. xxx
Chrissy I'm delighted you are on the home run now :) I agree with the lovelies with the iPad case, one that doubles as a stand and auto turns the iPad off. You really don't need anything else xxx
Kiss me now ouch that pain sounds awful , hope you've seen the last of it X
Fevertotell aww bless your DS :( poor little thing. Children do bounce back a lot quicker than adults, I'm hoping he's going to be well enough to enjoy some of his festive plans at least. And that his germs are banished before the big mans visit xxx
Murie argh I do hope tomorrow is better for you all xxx
Pigpen double woooo hoooo :)) well done with the game and fab news about DD. that would be brilliant, to have her and DGS close and safe xxx
Mrs M your concert sounded lovely and then festivities with school today. Very Christmassy :) Enjoy DHs works do, but not toooooo much we need to hear all about it :) xxx
Peppa ooh santas sack does sound good, I've one that we use each year as DGD2s stocking ha there is that much to go in it. How lovely to have them staying with you for Christmas xxx
Ruth Hope your friend gets well soon, you are right to stay clear it'd be daft to knowingly go when she's contagious- heaven knows there is enough going around without walking into it! I do love afternoon tea, such a shame I'm not nearer. I'm glad you've had a fun filled festive day today :) as b_e_g said yesterday it's so good to meet up and catch up. I'm going to try and incorporate that into my new year plans. Love the photo, I've seen a lot of people in Christmas jumpers today so hoping that lots of money for charity was made. Unfortunately I don't own a Christmas jumper so couldn't join in :( ( can you hear the violins?) And your limelight hogging feline made me chuckle xxx
Pixtotts love the outdoor lights, mine can go on a week today woo hooo can't wait. I love the outdoor lights :) xxx
Feisty good girl, you are learning fast :) Put Feisty first xxx
Bunbun well done with adapting your diet to help with the bloods, it's not quite as daunting as it first seemed is it :) I'm glad that DH is doing well and getting plenty of work. Has he heard any more about his training? xxx
Crowdpleaser it's hard isn't it when the LOs birthdays are so close to Christmas. DGD2s is the 20th and party 22nd! No idea what DD was thinking. She's stressing a little to say the least! I haven't managed to do the candy sleighs yet! Can I ask what sweets/chocolates you used? (Hope you don't mind) xxx

Well in the Nana house I've been most productive today, sweet trees finish, wrapped done. Signs ready to varnish first thing in the morning. Cards posted done. Wrapping is ongoing but I've got till Sunday morning at nine so could still manage it haha xxx

Yes she has stopped phoning but FM is here so can't really say it has been a quiet evening. Although he is now in bed. Got him a day early as we are in London on Sunday.

Oh and the coat rack fell over into the lounge and broke a stag
I keep telling the kids to even their coats out, but they still keep putting them all on one side.
