Think there might be a new CBA-itus epidemic going round- I've sure I've caught it!( Not feeling very festive- last Friday we had some bad news which without boring you with the details means that we will be £400 a month worse off. It will mean big changes next year which I'm worried sick about). But on a positive note I have got everything we need for Christmas so I've 'had a little word with myself' and my plan is to have a good Christmas and re prioritise things in the new year.


OMO I laughed at Mia after her bath! I've been there done that in the past too with our dogs over the years! I cant lift Ruby into the bath cus shes seven and half stone! I tried putting her in the shower but she nearly bust the shower doors off in her dash of terror! OH has to man handle her into the bath and we have to try to bathe her as quickly as possible before she has a heart attack! She hates the bath but would happily spend hours playing in the stream over the park. She is such a wuss its embarrassing!


Feisty- again I'm sad to read that you have more bad news, hopefully once the shop is disposed of you can start the new year with at least one less worry xx


Namamia - lovely pics! I feel so sorry for you when you talk of your pain in your DS moving to Oz. Caitlyn I feel for you too. I feel bad enough that DD is off to Uni next year and she will be in the same country! We have been to a faculty open day this week at one of her uni choices and I could have quite happily cried all day cus its brought home the reality of it. (I'm a wuss like the dog! I 'sucked it up' tho cus I didn't want to spoil her excitement.)


Off to Matalan in a bit to pick up a dress for my little sis that was only £5 (!) to go in her Christmas stash. Have brought her mostly clothes cus she has lost weight recently cus we've been going to SW. Just hope it fits her!


If I can find time today I am definitely going to watch Nativity- I've never seen it and it sounds like it might be the lift I need. DD has inset day today so I may cajole her into watching it with me.

Aww Murie hugs my lovely. I knew you were not yourself That's a good plan, Christmas like you say is already sorted. Time enough to thing about the reshuffle after the fun.
Empty nest is my forte although when DD was at uni, I probably had more conversations and fun with her than when she was at home. And it was amazing to watch her find her wings and fly xxx

Morning all.

My biggest work day is done with and since it always takes over the livingroom I haven't bothered with much Christmas stuff yet. But its now Friday, most of the work stuff is away and I am planning on getting stuck in with the cleaning so I can get this house looking Christmasy ATM the only thing that tells you its nearly Christmas is the 2 advent calenders, 5 christmas cards on the wall and my window 'display' which I hope to finish today as soon as its brightens up a bit. By Sunday night I want all my decorations up including my keepsake cards and to get the advent candle burnt down to where it should be. I have 7 boxes of decorations (some are just bulky) and a 7ft tree, and I need to go and buy some new lights for the tree but they will be done by Sunday night if I have to pull an all nighter Saturday :rotfl::rotfl:

morning all ,
just ordered the last few bits from Amazon:j. We are going to get the ipad on Tuesday once thats bought theres only a few sweets and the food shop to do.

A quick question to ipad owners , looking online there are lots of add ons are there any that you would say are really needed? ie keyboard etc ?
