 at roundtuit and other familiar flyfriends popping in. Great to hear from you.
There have been some lovely and thoughtful posts in the last few days - thank you to kazmeister, bonnie, bossy and others. :A I'm not always around (tend to disappear a few weeks into each term and surface during holidays), but can't imagine not coming back here. I'm hoping to make a difference in quite a few areas next year and will need to odd fluffy mule flung in my direction.
I dropped DS1 off at work and bought a few laundry baskets on the way home (so clean laundry can be collected in separate baskets for the 3 bedrooms - should cut out the socks and boxers search). Also got a few things from Mr M's.
DH is snoozing and DS2 playing next door - I'll get started on my budget and/or continue with meal plan/shopping list in between assembling the lasagne.
Oh, I have some ready-made puff pastry. How do I stop it getting soggy when cooking sausage rolls tomorrow?
ETA Dusty, I quite like Julie's idea, although I don't think I've ever finished a list and should really be working to my own...0 -

Evening
We've just taken the tree and decorations down, put them back in the loft, and dusted and polished all through downstairs and vacuumed up the stairs too. It all looks light and clean now
We were going to wait until tomorrow but just decided to go for it.
I don't mind what the lists are because I tend to do my own thing anyway - I just like reading the posts to keep me doing it all.0 -
Re this weeks coming week, I promised myself to be in at level 1 until after my recovery from flybaby's slice and dice, so I am happy either wayThe cold never bothered me anyway0

I need to get in the shower and then do my hair so it will be quicker tomorrow............I have wild curly hair that is a lot thinner than it used to be....lots of tight tying up when wet = hair falling out in lumps!!!
If I wash, dry and straighten it tonight, shouldn't take me too long to do tomoorow.......DD out of bathroom, here I go.............0 -
I'm newish anyway so can't presume to have a say in listing - I tend to do my own thing but, like others, just find being here now and again makes me fly round with more motivation. I'm back to work on Wed and Thurs although no students yet so catching up on paperwork.
Sorry to Bossy and others who've suffered loss, either human or furry.
I started a big frog today - clearing out the garage. I knew it would be bad as talking of loss, I have a whole cupboard devoted to horse-related items. I lost my old boy last year. Not only is it hard while he is still fresh in my mind, but somehow it's tied up with identity - I've always been a horse-mad little girl and there are so many memories and nostalgia tied up in items I've collected over the last 40 years; things I scrimped, saved and renovated from boot sales etc. Cupboard now empty and awaiting its new job storing my flower arranging stuff. I still have some horsy stuff to get rid of when weather is better and I can sit around cleaning it and deciding how best to pass on. Didn't realise it would be hard. Anyway, sorry for indulgence.
Also done today:
2 loads washing
cleaned bathroom
cleared some of floordrobe
cleaned kitchen
pruned some stuff in garden as sun out this morning
watered and tended plants in conservatory
partly de-cluttered lounge.
made some bird cakes using up turkey fat and miscellaneous bits from fridge (don't ask)
So fairly pleased with today.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.0
