Been to the supermarket this morning and DH walked the dog there and I generously gave them a lift home.
Just about to tackle HHI (Christmas tablecloths etc) but at least DH has been off this week so no shirts. WM and TD both been on x1.
Going to make some sausage rolls this afternoon as hamper from the butcher had sausage meat in it with tomorrow's date on. I have cheated tho and bought some ready to roll puff pastry. Gradually finding homes for the Christmas presents. Will need to give the kitchen a quick S&S after the sausage roll making then have a bed to make up. DH has lit the fire and looks like he might be on for a snooze (helped by the glass of port with his cheese and biscuits).

It was nice to get out for a while if only to the shops.

Collected DC, paid cheque in, returned an item to M&S, got another coat for DS2 to try, bought a calendar at 40% off, did a top up food shop.

Having a well earned cuppa next.

Ended up going to Cardiff Bay for lunch, we were going to have a wonder around but was too cold, popped into the Dr.Who Experience but DD was going to DSD's so have booked it for next Wednesday. OH has taken DD to DSD's after we came back to pick up her stuff. I am currently enjoying the peace (and the sole use of the laptop!!!)

Thanks everyone..he hasnt gone to girlfriends ..has been made to help around house..(he will be doing more shortly ) have told him if he wants to go to band practice he will have to pay with money he got for xmas....not really fair to the 4 other band members who travel quite far if he doesnt go.
He decided not to have his hair cut but DS2 did and looks far better , LO had a trim lol...his hair is very long..almost as long as mine and he kept saying to the lady...please dont cut much off...only a bit..not much...she couldnt help laughing at him as he was almost panicking...think he would rather go to dentist haha.

Thankyou flyladies, as ever you always know the right things to say :A

We haven't done too bad today. My mum popped round, so hugs were decluttered as well as advice on how to deal with the one awkward sister (or rather, how to not deal with her, and not let it upset her). Spoken to cousin, who spent a lot of time living with granny as a youngster.

Kiddies haven't wanted to go out so lots of films, and some craft stuff done.

Have done the downstairs loo, and the ironing (Xmas table linen) and generally tidied as I've gone around.

Just bathed the tots, they are ready for bed. I'm getting them off early as they are both tired and cranky... (me too).

Have emailed boss just to let him know in case funeral is one of my working days.

We had some sausage meat from the farm shop, too, but I stuck it in the freezer for the time being (no date on it).

I'd quite like to make sausage rolls for New Year's Eve, but I'm worried that the pastry will go soggy. Any advice?
