If you have another 200 or 85Mbps Homeplug on the same network, then the whole lot will only run at the speed of the slowest device. But it sounds like one device is maybe in a 'noisy' area? Are they all plugged direct into wall sockets and not into trailing extension leads?0

Because the older 85Mbps Homeplug standard is a little slow for carrying video around your network. All the new plugs are 200 or 500MBps anyway.
Sorry but I disagree
I shunt HD media round the house on 85mbps Homeplugs
Thats files around 8-16GB
I doubt Youview is going anywhere near that bandwidth0 -

sorry,what?
The media plays at 1080p
what am I missing?0 -

I think like Macman says, it's what else you might intend now or in the future to stream across you network. For now, and from what I can make out, Youview itself only requires 3Mbs so I can't get too worried about my network infrastructure. ADSL will be my limiting factor.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0

nope. smooth as silk,I did when I used wifi
I wouldnt put up with buffering. I watch movies and series from the PC far more than TV0 -
There's no point in using 85Mbps if buying new, there are few available, and no cheaper than 200 Mbps.
That doesn't mean that existing 85Mbps ones are not still usable depending on your requirements. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Move it away to a wall socket without other electrical items nearby? No free lunch, and no free laptop0
