Raw broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, celery, cucumber, courgettes, red yellow & orange peppers, spinach etc are all very tasty snacks with and without hummus! I like a bit of halloumi in my salad as well, just a wee bit!

    Yummy!

It's important to enjoy your exercise "regime" so it doesn't feel like a chore, it doesn't have to be expensive, the rebounding sounds like great fun!

The closest gym to me is £50 a month I can't afford that with the amount of debt I am in sadly, I do have weights, a treadmill and a rebounder at home all of which I use, apart from the treadmill just now ( shin splints) my personal trainer ( can no longer afford to go sadly) gave me some good work out stuff to do before we finished working together, for weightloss he wants me to concentrate on muscle increasing ie weights ... I do the running cause I love it and rebounding cause its fun :)

I also walk approx 5 k 4/5 times a week ( even with my current shin splints ... Although right now it's agony) and when the weather improves I will be found up a hill on weekends I'm not working ... I work night shift and struggle to fit exercise around it though

If you have all that at home then you don't need to go to a gym. Follow what your personal trainer advised, use the equipment you have and do the things you enjoy.

So I had my induction today

    Plan:

    Treadmill 1 min @ 5.5, 1 min 6.5 for 4 weeks
    Leg press 3 sets of 12 @ 20 for 4 weeks
    Lying leg curl 3 sets of 12 @ 15 for 4 weeks
    Lat pull down 3 sets of 12 @ 15 for 4 weeks
    Seated row 3 sets of 12 @ 15 for 4 weeks
    Bicep curl 3 sets of 12 @ 4 kg for 4 weeks
Over head arm extension 3 sets of 12 @ 4kg for 4 weeks
Abs standard crunches 3 sets of 12.

    Everything increases after 4 weeks

I'm sure she said 5 mins at each level on the treadmill.

I may add the bike or rower after this.

You could do most of that at home.
  • I think a lot of people have motivation issues at home - I know I do unless I'm following something like Insanity.

I also could never give up my gym membership because I love their range of free weights and I have nowhere to put a squat rack at home, lol!

    Well done debrag :)

I went to the gym on Sat and Sun, it feels so good to exercise.

Good luck on your weight loss, with small steps you'll get there in good time.
