Did that yesterday - threw in loads of pearl barley as well. Enough for a meal next week and a hot lunch for me at work!!

  • I've only done stews & chilli in my sc so far. I'm getting more adventurous though & have got a chicken out of freezer to give that a go tomorrow. I've read previous threads & gather it should take about 6 hours or so, I think.
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

I'd give it 7-8 hours on low.

am going to do a sausage casserole tomorrow as I will have time to brown the sausages, didnt want to do it before work next week. Do you think its best to brown and then cut the sausages up into thirds? or leave them whole?
