In my SC today is 500g butternut squash, sweet potatoe, carrot, onion & ginger soup kit (£1 @ Asda) 1/2 diced pumpkin, 2 diced potatoes, sweed and the lamb leg bone from yesterdays whoopsie roast leg of lamb dinner. For the liquid I made 1 & 1/2pt bisto gravy. I will see what meat I can reclaim from the bone later and when nearly cooked throw a little left over diced lamb in too.

One hour before we were ready to eat I made some herb dumplings.
The dinner was very filling and warming, nice on a cold autumn night.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

2nd attempt with the SC and tonight we are having Chicken & Leek stroganoff.

Chicken (some - I rarely measure anything lol)
    2 chopped leeks
    1 (large) glass white wine
    Mushrooms (again, some)

When I get home I just have to stir through some single cream and juice of half a lemon.

I hope it turns out better than last nights attempt :o:rotfl:

not sure about frozen, but def spent a night in the fridge

Remember also that you really shouldn't take the lid off when cooking if you are only going to be cooking for such a short time, as it will only add to the required cooking time to build up the temperature again. You said that they also removed the chicken to turn it which is not required IMO, but would definitely require longer to cook if done.

When I cook a whole chicken, it goes in on it's tod on low and I just leave it for 8-10 hours depends on how long I'm out for.

Hope it goes better this weekend.

Overnight was a chilli and today I made rice pudding. My son didn't eat his (said it didn't taste like rice pudding) so I bunged it in the fridge for my Dad tomorrow. I've never saved rice pudding and I'm not even sure if it's safe but my Dad will eat anything so he'll probably be ok :p
