I think 1pt of liquid is enough to cook a pork joint or may be an inch or two in the bottom. If your liquid is covering the joint I would think of taking some out but I am only a beginner myself.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

    Debt-free and Proud!
It might just come out quite sweet, you can always remove some of the liquid before serving, but I think you might have over done the liquid, at least your vegtable know how to swim! lol
Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

pammy - glad it was nice!

I wondered about the liquid thing as well so thanks for asking that question!

Well, as my LO has been very clingy today my batch cooking has not been done  I think that I'll have to do it overnight. I always cook chilli over a low heat for about 90mins so I'm sure a good 8 hours on LOW will be fine.

Where does the time go?

Well I did go out and buy a smaller SC. I already have the 6.5L CrockPot which is great for big stews and anything with lots of potatoes and other root veg, but too big for just a bolognese or curry. So today I got the Asda one for £15. It is soooo cute! It's small and round and reminds me of the magic porridge pot!

I think I'll put a chicken curry in it in the morning. I've not been using my SC as often as I'd like because of it's size, so here's hoping that will all change now!

I have just googled "the magic porridge pot". Did you mean the childrens book by any chance?

Yes the kids story - I used to have the book when I was little. It's like a little cauldron!
