  • I've just bunged in two chicken breasts, tin of value chicken soup, yellow pepper, 1 sweet potato, an onion and some grated creamed coconut into mine and will serve tonight with either rice or new potatos from my grow-bags.

    I use auto loads. Got a sausage casserole in my SC today. As I browned the sausages first, I have just used the low setting.

  • have just put in slow cooker on high:
    500g beef mince (chilled value stuff from tesco)
    a mug full of dried barley
    the remnants of a packet of green lentils
    half a bottle of red wine (opened on tuesday night and needed using up)
    tin of borlotti beans
    tin of value kidney beans
    squirt of tomato ketchup
    a red chilli finely chopped
    packet of whitworth's dried vegetables
    garlic powder
    dried mixed herbs
    some water
    the dregs of a jar of bovril

    hopefully it will turn out tasty!!!!!

    Mince, red wine, garlic, mushroom, chicken stock, onion, rosemary, nutmeg, tom paste and a tin of toms. Will have it tomorrow with some pasta me thinks

  • I've only been using my Slow Cooker for a week and now wonder what on earth I did without it!

    I work part-time and have two sons who are starving as soon as we get in the door. So nowm tea is served almost immediately with no stress involved. It's sooo great :D

    Tonight we have onion, chicken breasts,tesco tikka masala sauce. Will serve with natural yoghurt stirred through to cool it down for the kids and steamed rice done in the microwave.
    Need to start again :o

    well i am trying a piece of brisket in there today with some stock and a few veg so hopefully fingers crossed it will be ok when opened!
