I need some help. I put some lamb chops and a mixture of vegetables and some veg. stock in my slowcooker (about the second time I've used it) and it cooked over night. The kids and I have had a look this morning and it looks disgusting and the kids are refusing to touch it.
What can I do to save it??0 -

Ok, I confess. My husband likes to wear tights (but he's well-trained in all things MSE and when he ladders them he reuses them as cleaning cloths).
He also has the ability to disappear faster than a speeding bullet whenever I start nagging.0 -
I made chicken & sun-dried tomato pilaf yesterday. Oh dear:o. Rice turned to mush....I hope the birds will like it though! The chicken was you- rescued and ready to be incorporated into a nice tomato sauce.
Tomorrow- lamb and prune stew. I think it's called something much fancier in the recipe book though!!Won Mulberry Bag Jan 090 -

Well the carrot cake turned out lovely! :j
It took a lot longer than the two hours suggested as I had doubled up the quantities. I kept checking it every so often. It took about four and a half hours, I started off on low but turne it up to high. One end got a little bit burnt not sure why, but I know the birds were grateful for it!:grouphug:0 -

Hi all, my slow cooker arrived last wk and I'm using it for the first time tomorrow :j
I'm making Paprika Beef from the MR instruction book.
Just realised that I bought braising steak instead of stewing steak doh
Will it matter? I've not used either before!
Thanks
