Great idea
This year I am trying to turn my hand to crafty things - OH and I are getting married in 2014 and we will be on a very tight budget so I want to make as much as possible myself! Unfortunately, I'm clumsy, left handed and totally uncreative.
I have joined the crochet thread (although the hook has been hurled across the room a few times...) but would also like to learn:
Simple sewing - hems, sewing on buttons
Basic knitting
How to hang a picture/mirror
Proper breadmaking - this has always scared me for some reason
Oooh thought you OS-ers might be interested in this. Earlier today I learnt "Japanese T-shirt folding" - it really is the coolest t-shirt folding method I have come across and incredibly easy once I found a tutorial! Made me wish there was more laundry to fold!

I am a day early too and my challenge for the week is to use star drops for my cleaning.
Also we don't have a dishwasher but have one in the new house. Van I put the oven racks and gas hob rings in there?I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0 -

I have started too by making a calender for 2013 and attaching it to a picture my dd gave me for Christmas, both me and dd are very impressed and now she will get her picture having pride of place all year round.
I am starting by getting a list of projects together or things I want to learn.
