If you have a facebook account you could check to see if they have free sites in your area. They usually come under facebay................ name of town.

Hope you manage to get things sorted for you and your family

    Rent £12
    Tv fine £10
    Tv £10
    £10 car insurance
£35 gas (most of that is deducted for debt we are usually left with about 15)
we are usually left with about £23 after the debts are took out of my bank account. That goes on nappies and food, electricity does not get paid atm

£1600 for my energy bill is quite high, when I first claimed jsa I owed about 500 which we had the money in a savings for but that slowly dwindled on food gas and rent.

We only have floor boards down as earlier this year when the guy started work in a house that had been empty for years we started being flooded with mice and rats, we lifted the laminate so the council could get underneath as next door wasnt co-operating by the time we came to relay it it was a mess (dunno how long it had been down for as we didnt put it down) and the sides just broke off in our hands so it wouldnt connect or anything it was like soft cardboard. It wasnt bad at all though the summer as we thought we would have been sorted by winter.

Also someone mentioned xmas.......... that has been canceled in this house this year, my daughter is 3 (nappies are for bed time only) so she wont notice, and Ive told my son just to stay with his dad at xmas, we have nothing for them so I would rather he had a nice day down there than the dredge and misery here.

The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

Are you claimin healthy start vouchers? for your dd and yourself while your pregnant £6.20 a week you should get according to the website. Actually I have just read your first post and see you have just started getting them, sorry I just would hate to see you missing out on something that could really help you out.

Also how much is your internet or phone contract I am with virgin out of contract I rang them I was paying 46.50 a month I managed to reduce it to 30.50 a month, sometimes they will let you reduce your monthly payments if they know you have fallen on hard times too.

Ah, if you had made that clear in your first post I am sure you would have got a different response. I also took your first post to mean you had £256 a week after housing costs were paid, and thats what led to my stupid comment that many others have to manage on less, sorry :o

im really happy that you have saved 'rainy day' money, amnd that if you and your husband both lost their jobs, you would still manage.

a lot of people arent that fortunate.

unless your outgoings match the benefits that you could get....
you also are living beyonf your means.

i wish no harm or hardship on your family ...

but please !!!! up. necause you dont have a clue how the other half have to live!

OK, I'm not sure what debts you have, but immediately contact them all and offer a £1 token repayment per month until you're back on your feet. Some sample letters which can be varied to suit your situation can be found here.http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/debt_e/debt_letter_generator_for_creditors_e.htm
Send it off ASAP. And cancel your DD's standing orders immediately before anything else comes out. You can set them up again when they contact you with their response.

In regards to NPower, they have a charitable trust to help people that can't pay their bill. Details and application form can be found here.
    http://www.npowerenergyfund.com/index.php?page=grantsind

    Again, fill this out immediately.

In regards to your car, go to http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?163-Debt-Action-Group
explain your situation and they can help you out with lots of things. They were priceless to me when I was in a similar situation.

Doing all of this should leave you with around £89 per week (give or take) which will be much more doable. Plus remember that this will increase when your baby is born. It's a very tough time when you're heavily pregnant and completely broke. I've been there and come out the other side, so don't despair. I understand how tough it is to see you children needing something, but grit your teeth and contact EVERYONE tomorrow, cancel all your DD's and by next time your benefits come in you should be substantially more comfortable and less in despair.

Lastly, for Chrsitmas, contact the Salvation Army, they may still be able to get a food parcel or gift parcel to you. If not, PM me with your general details and if you're anywhere nearby, I'll send a package of food and some gifts for the kids over to you myself. I don't care if it's against the rules.

Good luck, and remember, this too shall pass.

P.S. When you have your baby, you should meet a Bounty representative. Ask them for newborn nappies, and tell them why. They should be able to give you a big pack. I won't say why I know this, but I know they are given them to hand out.

The reason I have rainy day savings is because I have a very wise lady in my life that said 6 mos of outgoings is and will be needed at some point and to make that a priority whilst I could.

My eldest was 14 mos when my oh and I were both made redundant (no wages or notice 2 days before pay day), it made me glad i heeded her sage words.

It's too late for op - but there are lurkers etc who would be wise to realise that benefits aren't always immediate and if you have little or no savings they disappear fast. I think op would agree that they really wish they'd had some leeway and as benefits under £6 k are not affected its a good idea to save whilst you can. A few extra pounds in savings would have made the world of difference to op.

No one can predict the future - illness, divorce, job losses happen to anyone and they are outside of your control. All you can do is control what you can, everyone lives beyond their means when compared to benefits which is why I'd advise anyone to pop money any whilst they can to give breathing space.

My lesson from the 1st redundancy was income protection which has again provided peace of mind during further redundancies. Given how many times my oh and I have been under threat or made redundant I know first hand how much it helps.

Anyway back to op - as I said if you give an approx location (ie newcastle, Boro, Northumberland etc and if close enough I will drop off some items at your local sure start or community venture where you can collect.

It's interesting what's against the rules, isn't it? You can tear strips off people and insult them within an inch of their lives alright but offer some support? Oh no, no, no, no.......
