Just found that £78.50 had 'already been used' when i tried to buy pizza express vouchers. Rang up and have been told they will be re-issued within 24 hours, but call operator didnt mention anything about a security breach, rather that it was 'a system refresh'.0

Sometimes when orders are done on-line there can be a problem e.g. when you mix vouchers from different accounts - so there's no confirmation. But the voucher is 'stuck' neither redeemed nor active.
So it is not being 're-issued' but being 'reactivated' a process that's is quite quick but the 'operator' can't do it themselves - it has to be passed up - hence the need to allow more time (usually a couple of hours).
Now, when this happens, it doesn't mean it will show on your vouchers 'on-line', but it does allow you to re-enter the codes from the voucher and this time get a confirmation.
So please - do not scrape vouchers or codes until you get the confirmation!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
My clubcard vouchers have all been Spent in dagenham and London, I live in derbyshire. My name has changed to amadi cumbassa but I still live at my home address. I use an email address/password combination that is unique to my clubcard account so this rubbishes the claim that it is from elsewhere. Sunday so helpline closed, really unimpressed!0

Ouch! Is your email address from your internet supplier or elsewhere e.g. yahoo or Hotmail !? If the latter I would suggest changing those passwords.
Normally, Clubcard is closed on Sunday, however on the Customer Service no - there may be people who are also trained on Clubcard, or a Team Leader who could take details.
Failing that, take a screenshot of the name details (you mentioned) before changing it - then set about changing passwords etc. Attach the screenshot to an email to - together with all the other details, at least that will start the 'ball rolling'.
Trust though you weren't tempted by phishing emails, re £500 or £1000 voucher !!? Everyone, beware do not give details!I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
 didn't see this thread until after logging into my clubcard account i noticed that £178 worth of vouchers were used on the 14 April 2013!!! so this is after Tesco where made aware of the problem. Majority of the spent vouchers were used in Clapham and Southwark, but there are a couple that don't say where they were used. As it is too late to call Tesco i have sent them an email and will be following it up with a phone call tomorrow.
Oh and no i have never had a problem logging in to the website, i have never asked for a copy of my password and i don't use 'common' passwords.
Thank you for providing information regarding this - I only wish i'd seen in sooner0 -
Just logged into my clubcard account today to find that around £20 worth of vouchers has been spent without my knowledge on the 18th May (saturday). Some at Purley Extra and some at Sutton Cheam Park Farm. I still have the paper vouchers at home, so no idea how this is still happening. I called Tesco, and their 'fraud' department are going to call me back in an hour.
I waited and no one called me back, so I rang Tesco again, and they have 'rolled back' my unauthorised vouchers, which apparently means that they will be credited to my next issue of vouchers, which is August. Not really a satifactory solution as I would have liked to have used the vouchers at the end of July for school holiday days out, but at least I haven't lost out. Still no explanation as to why this has happened. I will be keeping a close eye on my account from now on.............0 -
After reading about the scam I had been regularly checking my account as I had been saving vouchers for two years. It was fine - until yesterday, when I saw that £92 of vouchers had been redeemed in two London based stores on the 5th and 6th of May - I live in North Wales.
I immediately telphoned Tesco, the operator was really unhelpful: I told her they were redeemed out of area, and she asked how did I know that if it wasn't me - I informed her it showed this information within my online account.
Apparently they were redeemed with 'my' clubcard, so this must have been cloned. She refused to issue me another clubcard with a new number and told me my account would now be frozen; I will now need to save any current receipts to have the points added at a later date.
Upon checking my account, I can see the thief was courteous enough to add an additional 81 points to my account by using my cloned card, so this too now looks iffy.
The operator said she would refer this to the fraud team who would be in touch within 28 days. This certainly doesn't tie in with reports of customers who have had the vouchers refunded immediately.
Tesco did not contact me to inform me my account had been compromised. I have reported this to Action Fraud and I intend to continue to pursue this with Tesco.
Interested to hear if anyone scammed recently has success. I thought this was all done and dusted.
Very frustrating!0 -
I have just discovered I have had all my points spent that I was going to use in the voucher exchange
Phoned Tesco and explained that they had gone and been spent at two stores in London (it seems to be at two stores in all the cases where poeple could still get in their accounts) but I live in Devon.
The chap said straight away they would credit the vouchers back but I won't be getting them until August once the exchange has finished which is gutting, but at least there was no messing about.
Changed my password now but don't know how they got the details in the first place as I am careful and have got the vouchers and my clubcard. I don't have obvious passwords and an odd email address and supplier and have never had to click link for forgotten password as far as I can remember as I hardly ever login just lucky it coincided with the exchange as I usually save them for the yearly RAC membership.Mortgage highest Aug 2007 £200,000Mortage now Oct 2014 £143,015Offset savings Oct 2014 £51,7990 -
My clubcard account was hacked over last weekend and almost £140 worth of vouchers were stolen and used in Tesco Express & Metro stores at various sites around London. the fraudster had changed my account name to his 'own -' Mr Amir Cumbassa. I discovered what had happened on Sunday afternoon, after I went onto my online account intending to double up some vouchers in the current Exchange rewards promotion. Being on a Sunday, I was unable to contact Tesco as Clubcard & customer service helplines are not there....very frustrating. Tesco are now 'investigating' and have promised to roll over my missing vouchers to the next statement in August - too late for the Exchange scheme which finishes in July. Don't feel particularly confident in how Tesco are dealing with this.0
