Tesco Clubcard fraud - online vouchers stolen

Points from all the cancelled vouchers were put back on my account on Saturday.
Won't be able to buy the RAC membership though as won't get new vouchers till May.0 -
It's a fair point you make. A lot of items do get excluded because they are not exactly the same and there is not an easy way of knowing beforehand. On the stuff that is, at least you know it will be 10% cheaper, which is better than 4% on the Tesco scheme when used with max rewards (£1 = 1 point = 1p x 4 = 4p ~ 4%).
You don't know everything is 10% cheaper though as it's done on your basket as a whole, not every item being at least 10% cheaper. By buying seperately you increase your overall discount because you get the cheapest of everything, with no 'more expensive items' making the overall saving percentage less.0 -

Yes that is true - there may well be variation between the comparable items so it's not an unreasonable approach to take.
It's not going to be true always though. Another example: say a customer only bought items in Asda that were on promotion in Tesco (assume they are all cheaper in Tesco and comparable to make things easier). They will save an extra 10% on top of the Tesco discounted prices.0 -
This is the first time that I've really been compelled to write on the forum, having been receiving the newsletter for the last 18 months.
Having had problems completing a purchase on Tesco online in November I contacted Tesco to express concerns about security after being logged into my account on my home computer to find that it flitted between my own account and that of another customer (complete with that customers personal information and items in the basket).
I was advised to do a screen capture should it happen again, told that they would investigate and to be reassured about the security of my own account.
Needless to say, given my concerns I haven't used my account since.
You may want to log in just to make sure that your account hasn't been accessed and your vouchers stolen. There is not guarantee that Tesco are actually going to do anything about it, so waiting may not be a good idea.
Hope your account is OK.0 -
I have just found out that I have had £192.00 of vouchers taken from my account - I have the vouchers sat here next to me and have only found out as they are due to expire and I wanted to exchange them before I do. I have been told they were used on 14th Feb - not by me they weren't! I have been told they will re-issue £102.00 worth but the others have been used in promotions etc!!! How I don't know as I have them here. I have sent further e/mails to try to get them reissued and reported to Money Saving Expert and Action Fraud. I hope they will look into my case further, I don't feel they have taken me very seriously at all and I'm not prepared to lose these to some fraudster.0

PM me if you want copies of my emails from them. It was only by going to [email protected] that I got anywhere.0 -
Well, still waiting for customer services to respond with full details as to where and when I am supposed to have used my vouchers. They have agreed to refund half of them but the other half they are claiming have been used by me. Have also written to the CEO e/mail address hjd has suggested and again, still waiting. Have this evening notified Watchdog but wonder where that will get me. I just want my vouchers back!
So frustrated0 -
We where away and missed all the fuss about the clubcard fraud so only last week did I discover I was locked out of my account.
On gaining access once again after a tech phone call I discovered my vouchers has been spent in late Jan but not by me.
Yet another phone call and customer services filled out a form and assured me my vouchers will be reissued.
They must be able to back track these transactions so why have affected accounts not been notified and the people responsible charged. It must be a huge fraud.
Tesco not really being proactive to sort this out.
Progress 26/03 phone call from customer services promising to reinstate all my vouchers but not untill the May mailing.0 -
Well, I have just had an email stating that it has come to their attention that my account has been accessed from outside the UK and as a precaution I have been locked out of my clubcard account and to follow a link to reset my password.
I was always under the impression that you should never follow a link in an email to reset security details so what are Tesco playing at? I thought it was a spam email originally.
They are saying all my details are safe and that they will replace my vouchers but I am now very concerned as I cannot get access to my account to check previous orders etc and if they have access to my clubcard account, do they have access to the rest of my direct and grocery account? I am not happy at all:mad:
Another things springs to mind, a few months back there was a issue at Tesco Cards (a bit like moonpig) where when customers logged into their accounts they could see other customers information so this is not the first time they have had issues like this.
I want to take this as far as possible as I do not trust them with my information anymore.
Bl***y Tesco!!
