Well as the title says I'm feeling much better today. Dosed myself up with Night Nurse and slept soundly......Makes all the difference.

Not quite sure what's on the agenda for today, might give OH's visit a miss so that I can just stay indoors and keep warm and continue to get better.

I'm finally starting to learn how to pace myself and I realise it's better to take two days out to get better rather than just thrust myself back into my usual hurly buryly life too soon and then have a relapse. Finally I'm learning some sense:o:o

Anyway whatever the day brings it will include some fabbing....I look a mess!!!

Like many of you I'm looking very pale and washed out at the moment. I think I might dig out the tinted moisturisers and "daily sunshine" creams too.

I am in desperate need of a haircut too so I will try and make an appointment for next week.

I ate quite badly yesterday, couldn't be bothered to cook properly but now I'm feeling a bit brighter I shall make more of an effort.

Ladies - it starts today fabbing, healthy eating and exercise.
Have already made a start on the vits and supplements this week.

I dug out my Shiatsu Back Massager this morning. I have used it already. It just fits on top of an ordinary chair or sofa and you plonk yourself on it and switch on. It's not as good as physio obviously but I'd forgotten how good it is. It does help iron out a few kinks.

Speaking of ironing, there's a pile sat glaring at me. Bearing in mind the elephant, I will just do 30mins before I have my bath and do my fabbing.

Ladies my fight back to fabness starts today, one bite at a time.

Reading all your progress has given me just the jolt I needed. I have been doing the basics of course but it's time to ramp it up a notch.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Morning all!
    Glad you feel better LL.

Just back from a walk with the dog in a soggy park - lots of other dogs there too so nice to watch them all playing together. Woofer is pooped now though. I also did a bit of running around - haven't done any formal exercise since last Sunday apart from walking the dog for 5km a day so it felt good to get the blood pumping again.
I feel quite motivated so am going to do a bit of Tae Bo in a minute - leaping around the living room is always a laugh (probably more for those watching me!):rotfl:

Then its a quick whip round the supermarket and a clean of the house before watching the rugby. Have cancelled the massage - it can wait until after pay day.

Just found Fitness TV on Sky (channel 282) - it has lots of workouts to do - maybe good if you don't want to buy a DVD quite yet.

The hair WILL get dyed today too - promise!

EH - that's precisely why I just can't be bothered with the opposite sex anymore! Who knows how their little brains work?:rotfl: Good for you for getting on with it - you're too good for him!
  • Feeling proper sorry for myself :( another male friend said he wish he had never met me and wants no contact, because he has feelings for me which aren't reciprocated!

I know everyone else had much more going on in their lifes, but I'm questioning every aspect of mine! I'm 33, single, living with a mate and in a temporary job! I need to snap out of this!

    Eh xx

His loss - doesn't know what he's missing.;)

I so agree with WW - if you can't find a decent man - then don't bother.

However, there are some good 'uns - you just have to keep kissing the frogs till you find your prince.......

  • Hi All,

I've haven't posted for ages but have been reading.

Hewie - I'm so sorry to hear the news about your Mum. I hope you and your family have comfort in each other and some wonderful memories at this sad time. We're thinking of you xx

WW - Well done on your outstanding observation :T I have friends who are teachers and know how hard they work and to get an outstanding is a fantastic achievement and reflection of your efforts. Your pupils are lucky to have you!

Maman - Such an inspiring post, thank you!

EH - I'm with LL here, there are some princes around!

Well I've fallen off the fab wagon several times in the last 4-5 weeks but I keep getting back on and trying again. It's been a difficult month with a painful and sudden wisdom tooth extraction followed by a horrible cold leading to my first 2 days off sick for years! But I'm recovering now and back to work tomorrow.

We've made some big decisions in the last few weeks and have confirmed with our bosses that we want to go back to England! So notice has been given on our flat and our jobs and we move back in around 3 months! It's a stressful time but we're really looking forward to it - and on the plus side, both of our companies want us to stay so are doing their bit to keep us on in their UK offices. This means that we'll be moving to a new area of England so I've taken some inspiration from WW to join different groups and meet new people. There's a women's meetup group (I honestly don't know how I feel about this yet), a running group and a bookclub.

On the fab front, I've been looking into having my colours done. I think LL said she had it done and was impressed by the results, part of me thinks to give it a whirl as I don't have anything to lose but part of me thinks it's expensive if they just say everything suits me! Does anyone have any experience of it?
  • Evening All,

Hope everyone has had a nice Sunday.

My apologies for moaning & taking over the thread yesterday evening!

Today I bounced back, fabbed up and went out for sunday roast with a mate, bought new bedding with a voucher and a quick ald* shop & bought the serum again.

    Eh xx

Not been around much as very busy with my new job, hope everyone is managing to stick to their goals and getting lots of fabbing done.

I've let a few things slip but have stuck to my weekly baths (helped by lots of Lush gifts for xmas, still enough few a good few weeks) and have kept myself fuzz free.

I've been putting more effort into my clothes have felt much better about myself when I go out, not so self conscious about my frumpiness.

My weight is still a big struggle, my PCOS is still really bad and I can only get through the day dosed up on pills and with heat packs on so any exercise is a struggle. I have made some effort with some running and today I tried 30 day shred. I just need this relapse to ease off and I can put more effort in.

House fabbing is going well, spare rooms almost sorted with just a few bits and pieces to do, bought some nice new pictures for hallway, living room and landing so added some life and personality. Bought some bits for the kitchen to reorganise and make more of the little space I have.

I'm going to have a ready through the last two weeks of posts to see what I've missed.
