Morning All,
Not posted recently, still lurking hugs to everyone who need one.
Well feeling a lot brighter today after a down couple of days.
Today full make up on, hair done and I'm wearing a skirt (newly bought as i didn't actually own one), all be it with black tights and boots but a big step for me in confidence! I have a thing about my legs!
Tomorrow I might branch to a dress, we will see!
Eh xx0 -
Morning all,
Lizzie - fair enough if you get nothing from negativity from said friend, not something you need in your life x
I would be careful with dd and she definately shouldn't be attempting to ride the horse that isn't broken in! Not only could it could be dangerous for her but 'green' horses need experienced riders to start with so they don't end up with bad habits or issues later on. I used to ride and yes it is very different having a horse in a school or something rather then out in the fields/trails etc, in the first they often tend to know they have to 'behave' there and if they're in a group then half the time will just happily follow the rest anyway or know from habit what they should be doing. In the fields you need to be completely confident and firm with all commands or they will take advantage and start playing up. I hope she finds somewhere that's a good fit for her though.
allie - I need to get back to basics as well I think. Been very slack at the momentAm quite jealous about you off to Skye, have never been and keep meaning to.
ww - that's fantastic news on the teaching observation :jvery well deserved! Hope you managed a relaxing night.
EH - yay, on the skirt! Am sure you look fab, and yes, go for the dress next
Anyways, got a bit of work done last night, though not as much as I wanted. Still on my own at work, apparently she's off all week now as she's exhausted and the doctor has told her to 'rest'. I know I should probably be more sympathetic but I'm always tired and no one let's me have a week off :rotfl:
OH's not having the best week, anxiety playing up for him. I think he just has a lot on at the moment so he gets panicky and then doesn't do it so then it builds up and he gets more panicky - you get the idea! Have said we'll sit down tonight and go through everything so can hopefully get him back on track with things. Managed to get a little bit of writing done last night so something at least.
Hope everyone is having a good day x0 -
That's brilliant ww, so glad your talents are being recognised! Hope you had a good sleep last night.
Reading allie's post about buying clothes and eh wearing a skirt reminded me about how ingrained my 'fabbing' habits have become since LL started the thread. I also have to admit that losing weight motivated me to take more care of my appearance too but that's fabbing in itself.
I now moisturise after every shower, style my hair and keep myself defuzzed winter and summer. I use serum, moisturiser and eye cream every day and wear make up and perfume regularly. I'm far more adventurous as used to just slap on a bit of mascara and lippy. I keep my nails looking good (usually courtesy of my cheapie Chinese nail shop where they do a shape and polish for £5;)) I did a bit of wardrobe decluttering and was pleasantly surprised that I have put together outfits for most occasions. This includes a number of skirts and dresses, in fact if I'm dressing up 'smart' I rarely wear trousers. Black trousers used to be my 'uniform' but now I wear jeans for casual wear and the trousers hardly ever.
Sorry this sounds like a boasting list but I just wanted to say how well this lovely thread works. I still need to work on a bit of exercise and more decluttering but I'm getting there!0 -
Good afternoon ladies,
What a beautiful day, sun again. Just sitting here watching the birds eating from the coconut halves, such a variety
WW, well done you deserve it :j
Pod, know how you feel, my youngest son hates paperwork (bit like me) but knows it's great when it is done and out of the way
Unfortunately, these days the paperwork never ends. Thankfully my dear husband is far more organised!
I hope you are sleeping better?
LL, pleased to here O/H is brighter.

Welcome Sam
OK, off to the market for a mooch.

Hey ladies
Not much going on, back on fasting yesterday which went ok. Will do it again tomorrow
Still keeping on top of the usual fabbing, wearing make up everyday (and by that I mean eyeshadow as I always wore the basics). Treated myself to some new jeans and a top today, fed up with some of the t shirts I've bought shrinking and not holding their shape. If anyone knows who sells a good t shirt that doesn't shrink or go out of shape let me know (my last ones came from M&S).
LL huge congratulations on being outstanding :T well done you :T
LL hope OH is OK xxx
Pod hope your OH anxiety is sorted x
VNMS am so sorry to hear about your dad, I hope he's comfortable x
Hugs and high fives all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I had to get some emergency Victoria Sponge at lunchtime today. been one of those days at work! I've hardly stopped.0 -
Maman, loved your post. It doesn't sound like boasting, it is inspiring to read. I just need to keep chipping away at things.0

Absolutely dreadful day at work today, not just for me either. Can't wait to get to lunchtime tomorrow then I can go home for a relaxing weekend.
Anyway, enogh of the grumpiness from me as at todays weekly wigh in meant I had lost another kg, reached a target and almost back to maintaining point. In fact I may maintain from here in a few weeks time - will give it a couple more weeks to get to my final lower target and see then. Thought some weight had come off after I could feel a pair of trousers feel a little looser this week - a slim leg slim kick flare bargain pair of work trousers which were called very smart today!
maman - hi hun, you sound like you're doing well. I'll be back to skirts again soon once this weather calms down a littlefinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Good evening everyone
WW - wowee!!!! Well done you. :T:T:T
Maman - no that's not boasting, it's inspiring. You are living proof that it works. Fabbing really does become second nature. Even if we fall off the wagon now and again, because it has all become so ingrained it's easy enough to get back into things again.
Well I finally got to my physio. it was rough because I haven't been for so long, but definitely feeling much looser now.
Have done a shop, stocking up on healthy goodies - so it's all steam ahead now.
Went to have a quick look at a house today, not quite what I'm after. There's no hurry, there will be one out there with my name on it......:D
I know some of us have had a few set backs recently but I think we are all doing just fine. Even the weather is starting to improve, another glorious sunrise this morning and the days are starting to draw out again.
My rest, healthy eating and the lighter days are all coming together and I'm already starting to feel less tired and seem to have a bit more energy these days.
Spring isn't too far away now - so I'm going to pull out the stops and really get cracking now.
Let us put a pedicured, elegantly shod, best foot forward ........0
